Market Viewpoint gets my Gold. Consistent shops, decent and timely pay.
EPMS gets my Silver. I enjoy most of their shops and they pay like clockwork.
A Closer Look get the Bronze. Nice shops when bonused, easy reports and timely pay.

I like A Closer Look because they gave me my first chance. They worked with me and helped me get up to speed. The schedulers are very nice and so are some of the editors.
I had a Bare scheduler contact me a few weeks ago about an upcoming shop with an offer of a higher fee than the base rate before the shops were even released, stating another scheduler with their company had recommended me as a reliable shopper with good writing skills. And the shop fee was reasonable at the base rate. A bonus before the shops are even released, not waiting until close to the nail-biting deadline to give a shopper a well-deserved bonus? Classy. I just wish they had more shops in my area.
Gold: Mercantile, to everyone that works there, DJC just because of their upstanding ways. Class 1 company.
Silver: Customer Impact and Sales Quality for the one fabulous job I do for them and the great pay.
Bronze: Trend Source for continual work in my area, and Informa for well paying jobs.
I have more but trying to stay within limits.

I applied for Bare Int'l furniture interviews and my application is erased yet the job sits on the board. Since Bare is interested in shoppers by viewing our forum I'll like a explanation of how you decide who gets what as I live close by these shops....thx in advance. Difficult to say your the best when this happens...smiling smiley

Gold - Mintel - Shops are sooooo good and sooooo easy and pay is soooo good!
Silver - Bestmark - Have found the editors and schedulers really great
Bronze - 152 of the 155 companies on my list. The other 3 have been banned for behaving as if on steriods.

@Irene_L.A. - Did you contact the scheduler to ask if there was an issue with your application showing up in the shopper log? When you apply for a shop, it should appear in the shopper log.

I am doing another shop for you tomorrow so I'm sure it was o.k. it appeared as soon as I applied but no longer which tells me it was given to someone else, yet it is still on the board.

The gold: Quest For Best--Outstanding communications, first rate schedulers/editors, completely non-ambiguous guidelines and an acceptable work:pay ratio. To date, I have completed 297 jobs.

The gold: Strategic Reflections--Ditto QFB, with 432 shops in the book.

The bronze: Service Sleuth--Just a minor problem with a departed editor; otherwise, the same as gold. 232 assignments in the can.

Gold: DJC...NO ONE PAYS FASTER! The reports are fair - not hard and not easy. Fair. I also like that they don't make you "marry" a date to do your shop but rather give you a 5-7 day window to do the visit ANY TIME during that period so no need to ask to reschedule the date because you are give such latitude.
Silver: Customer Impact...........They don't have many clients but the ones they have are top-notch and dealing with them is easy and a pleasure.
Bronze: MarketForce..........Pay for most visits "stinks" but the reports are rather easy and re-scheduling is the same.

***I was going to put Sinclair as: Silver.........until they pulled the @#@^#&$ they recently did on me that has irritated me as much as anyone ever has in the 20+ years I have done this. The only thing worse than what they did to me is the @#%#^$ reason they gave for it.***
Gold: DJC. Wonderful top notch schedulers. Fast pay.
Silver: A Customers Point of View. Excellent pay. Dependable pay. Schedulers are great. They work with you.
Bronze: Hillidunlap. Scheduler is great to work for. Shops are consistent.
