Cancelled shops due to weather, how bad does MF penalize?

I was very disappointed that I had to cancel 4 gas stations and a casual dine when we got a big storm earlier this month. I'd planned out my route and my boyfriend and I were going to make a day of it and go to the movies... well, the best laid plans go awry I guess.

The next couple of days showed available for reschedule, but this was for a Saturday, and I couldn't work with the available reschedule dates. In hindsight, I should have contacted MF about rescheduling when the system didn't have a date that worked, but I cancelled them. I did this one day prior, when I knew full well the weather was going to hit hard. I noted the storm and poor weather in the comments.

Since there's no rating system at MF that I know of, how can I know if that knocked me down a peg or five? Any thoughts? I had scheduled those a good two weeks prior, with no way of knowing what the weather might do. That's the bad part about living in the upper midwest.

TIA

I'm not aware of any rating system that they will make you aware of. As long as you can see shops available, you can still shop for them.
In my experience MF has always been one of the best when weather is an issue. Instead of cancelling through the site, I would have reached out to the Help Desk. Sometimes a scheduler can work with you on dates the system won't allow.

Yes, I wish I would have done that, LisaSTL. I'm going to chalk it up to a rookie mistake. I hated losing those shops, though! I mean, I really felt bad about it lol, but not bad enough to risk life and limb. I'm sure they don't take the time to verify weather, but if they did, they'd know I wasn't fibbing. Thanks for your response. smiling smiley

They do have a rating system. You can't see it, but they have one. It might be worth contacting the help desk to explain the situation, but give that it's MF, don't count on a lot of sympathy. They grind people out pretty quickly.

I agree with Lisa 100%.

In the future OP, if you have to reschedule, contact the Help Desk if there are no dates available. MF can remove the shop and I do not believe that is considered a cancellation. If the weather is bad, they are aware most times and will be more understanding. smiling smiley
