Honestly, I don't think there will be any repercussions for Dru because he was trying to help the company out. They are a business after all so if they can find someone who will take it for less, of course they will jump on it. The only reason why they gave the shop back to you is because you contacted them about it.

I would only care if I didn't get paid but my report was used. I work for the MSC, not the client. I provide my report to my customer, the MSC, with an honest representation of what happened, completed according to their guidelines, and the MSC pays me the amount we have agreed upon. There is no agreement between me and the MSC (none of the MSC's I work with) that my report will not be edited or even completely changed. Once they get the report, the report is theirs and they can do what they want with it. The client is THEIR client, not mine, and they can provide whatever report to their client that they wish.

Their system only has a "Confirm" requirement when you request the shop with PAD on their site. Otherwise, if it is assigned by a scheduler there is no confirmation that comes up. When I read the OP's post I read it as he asked if she would do it, she said she would check her schedule and get back with him. He put it on her assigned shops. She didn't get back with him. So, I'm assuming he thought she may or may not do it but didn't get back to him so he assigned it to someone else. Did you ever call him back and say that you would do it for sure?

I think it's true that once we submit the report, the msc owns it. Theoretically it gets approved , we get paid and move on to the next shop. But, if we shoppers made a honest and conscientious effort to do a great shop and provide an accurate report for, lets's say, poor customer service, and then the msc and/or client report the opposite, that is just plain wrong. All our hard accurate work defeated the whole purpose of mystery shopping.

I didn't know they have the same pending acceptance when they assign a shop directly and not when you request pad on the site. It's really bad form and if they did that to me I wouldn't take shops from that scheduler.
They don't, actually. It's all very confusing.
