Not real happy with Mintel right about now

I signed up to do a few assignments involving picking up tracked packages at various locations. Mintel emailed me my tracking numbers. The spreadsheet has everyone's first and last names listed. I really don't like it when companies do this. I don't want others to see my name. Seems like an invasion of privacy. YMMV

Harland Clark does that. They will send out the guidelines with the shoppers and locations named.

Puzzles me as to why companies just can't use the BCC feature of their email, so that all of our emails aren't out in the open. I've written to a few companies (MS & non-MS related) about this, and told them that this is a great way to get on some phishing and/or scam email lists. I don't like it, either.

Harland Clarke and Mintel sent documents with our names listed on them and which shops we were doing.

Yeah, the spreadsheets often show up like that. Fortunately, Mintel pays well enough and has awesome enough assignments that I'm willing to overlook that. I *am*, however, occasionally surprised at the screen names some shoppers use :-X

We could make a game out of it and try to figure out who was forum members and what their screen names were and the one with the most right wins the prize.

I just checked my most recent list from Harland Clarke. They just list the first name and first initial of the last name.

Yeah, Harland Clarke will list your first name, yet only the first initial of your last name. I've seen this for years, and its not that big of a deal. What I did find that was a big deal was that you would be surprised to see some of HC's clients with their guidelines within plain sight on the desk. I've seen that on three occasions in the last 3 years, all in somewhat rural areas. I presume that if a bank knows the time frame that they will be shopped, then HC would send out guidelines to the client, and the client would in turn send it to the bank manager. Hard to miss the guidelines when it says "Harland Clarke" at the bottom of pages of paper.

And yes, I hate Mintel right now for the simple fact that they make it difficult to reset my password.

Just found out I can't use Mintel's website to enter reports on android while on the road. Not even if I request desktop site. Surveys do not load. Well, that's inconvenient! It's the first time I tried.

Tethering a laptop to the web through a tablet. Firefox or Puffin browser maybe Brave or Opera. one of those should work!

Does anyone else find their platform cumbersome to use? I could not figure out how to go back and proof my report. Maybe it's because I use a desktop?

Harland Clarke is also the name of a supplier of personal and commercial checkbooks through banks. So to me, it is not an indicator of guidelines, but of vendor paperwork. YMMV.
