North Fork—watch for 3 part shop—BAD RESULT

I did a three associate interaction shop for North Fork and the survey was impossible to fill out.

The first question is: Where you greeted within one minute? My answer was—NO—then in narrative I explained my NO answer with—‘I browsed for several minutes before being approached by an associate.’ This answer was not specific enough for the reviewer who said I needed to explain my NO answer to being greeted in one minute! The following questions I answered for the 1st associate. Then there was a narrative for above NO answers.

Then the 2nd section there was no description of associate but I answered for second associate who was very good. And the 3rd section was for cashier. Easy peasy I thought!! But NO!!

Then the reviewer sends me something about my very first answer not explaining my NO answer? Whatever, I changed it to—I was not approached for four minutes and 24 seconds. Whatever as if ‘..several minutes...’ did not explain that I was not greeted within one minute!

Then the reviewer sends me another email this time saying I need to change my answers about first and second sections as they should both be about the second associate interaction.... What about first associate? Why doesn’t survey say which interaction is in which section? And why wouldn’t they just have three sections since they want you to have three different interactions? What sane person would answer very first question about first associate then skip to second associate for the rest of the questions? It made no sense!!

End result—I get docked because my survey got sent back for questions twice!! And it got sent back because my description at beginning was about first associate not second? And I answered first section for first associate not second!! Nowhere did that survey say all questions were about second associate and second interaction. Nor was that in instructions!! I did what any normal person would do and and did 1st, 2nd and 3rd sections per each corresponding associate I interacted with.

NEVER AGAIN!! So if you see this three part scenario shop make sure you find out which associate/interaction the reviewer wants you to answer for in each section as it is very unclear!!

TBH, I agree that that is not specific enough. Several could mean two, or five, or 15! And that makes a big difference. If you're not sure, at least estimate "3-4 minutes," for example. If you knew it was 4 m 24 sec, I wonder why you didn't write that at first?

As for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd parts, that doesn't make sense to me, either. Sounds like they want 3 interactions but there's nowhere to put the answers for the 1st. When in doubt, or when something doesn't make sense, clear it up before you resubmit.

I've done the 3-part and didn't have a problem with it. Do you mean you "got docked" (weren't paid the whole amount for the shop) or do you mean your score was lowered because the editor had to send the report back for questions? If your report takes additional time to edit and the editor has to ask you questions, of course it will affect your score. I've never had an editor question from this MSC so I don't have experience with their editing, but it's not surprising that the report would come back the first time - "browsed several minutes" is way not specific enough. You were detailed enough to time it to the second but you chose to write "several" instead of the accurate timing that you made? It could be that, having sent back your report once because it didn't sufficiently explain "several minutes," and you then changed it to a very specific number, including seconds, the editor was not convinced that your report was accurate and gave it a much closer look.
