Dan St Pierre and Goodwin Associates

I must say I am shocked. I have shopped for this company for over 6-7 years, and only had one report returned to me, and rejected because I didn't follow the timeline. It was for campusfeedback. I wrote to another scheduler and I was reinstated, b/c she had seen my long-term OUTSTANDING shopping history. I was restored. I was removed again recently b/c Dan found out they had restored me, and how he's in charge of scheduling. I am shocked that the company would honor a decision made by an employee towards a long-term successful shopper. I hope none of you fall into that trap. And, that's all I have to say about that.

And just like dust, I will rise.

I am not following. Were you deactivated over one rejected report? It seems like a portion of your post is missing.
I have done several campus shops for them and the scheduler was Dan. One of my shop was rejected due to my evaluation report being too similar to a previous one I had filled out. But, I was never deactivated. Why did they deactivate you over one report? Did they give you any reasons?
Never had a problem, not sure why you were de-activated, must be more of a reason.

Live consciously....
I was told I submitted the report too early and asked too many questions. There is no more to the story.

And just like dust, I will rise.
Nope! I submitted one shop too early according to the guidelines, and he deactivated me. I was restored as a shopper by another scheduler and then he found out and deactivated me again.

And just like dust, I will rise.

I was deactivated bc i completed one shop too early and asked too many questions about the instructions.

In my opinion, the man did you a favor. Read the next paragraph for only my experience with Goodwin.

Approx. nine years ago, I accepted two motel de-branding jobs that merely required me to take a few pictures. In that the round trip distance was only 15 miles, I considered the total fee of $50 quite attractive. So attractive, I forgot both to search the company for problems AND the old adage that "all that glitters is not gold." The next day, though, I realized my error, learned of the cash flow problems and cancelled the shops. The scheduler sent me a letter explaining that my pay would be from a special fund, but did acknowledge they were considerably late with shopper pay and reimbursement. At that time, I had been in the business six years and had learned that some schedulers were less than truthful. I maintained my refusal to complete the work and deactivated my account.
I have never had a late payment from them.

You haven't been around long enough to remember when they weren't paying shoppers for many months.

Thankfully, they fixed that about five years ago.
That was my point (that I didn't really explain). Sometimes businesses go through a rough time. I started shopping for them in 2013 and while I haven't done a ton of shops for them, they seem to be paying right at their stated terms. It seems they got their act together and have for quite sometime.

I just got a payment from them yesterday. The company name is changed to Intel 360 - maybe new policies.
Well, at least Goodwin isn't like Instant-Replays or Franchise Compliance, where they mislead you from the beginning into thinking that you'll get paid, only to discover that the owner pocketed the shop fees.

I'm also 100% certain that the owner of NSS will absolutely never pay what he owes shoppers as well due to being permanently unavailable.
I got a decline from this person for the iSecretShop, shop I applied for. It wasn’t in my area and it was a phone call, so no big deal. I noticed his e-mail was from @goodwinxxx what ever else. I then looked this company up because I was curious as to why someone with this e-mail was declining something I’d put through iSS. The company page took me to iSS page. I just tried to sign up for another company and it took me to the iSS page also. I am new to this, so I’m wondering is iSS like PrestoMaps and SASSIE? Does anyone know?

Yes, ISS is a platform that many companies use, like Sassie and Prophet. Explore the ISS site to see what is available. On the menu on the left is Provider Contracts and Policies. Click on that to see a list of companies that use ISS. There are about 25 of them. When you accept and complete a shop on the ISS platform, you are actually working for a specific company and that company is the one that will pay you, not ISS.
The owner of NSS can't pay us, but the bankruptcy court might. When I entered the claim number on the bankruptcy court claim page and then entered my name, my address was already listed on the claim page. I think they know how much I am owed already, though I uploaded documentation as well. Maybe if I was one of the shoppers who submitted a claim early enough I stand a chance at getting some of that money back.

Adam Valdez from Franchise Compliance didn't have the excuse of being dead for stealing my money from the carpet cleaning job I did. Live and learn.

I've shopped with Goodwin for 7 years and have never had an issue. I mostly dealt with Andrew (can't recall his last name) and he's been wonderful. I just completed a frozen yogurt assignment a few days ago and Dan approved it.

OP, I'm confused as to how they think you submitted the report "too early." Were you writing the report while you were still at the stop? I don't understand.

That's great - not my experience.

I was supposed to wait 48 hours after I submitted the online request...
So I messed up the time, asked a couple of follow up questions - and he de-activated me.
And then, another scheduler saw he had deactivated me, and re-activated me b/c I'm a long time shopper. Then he found out, and reversed her decision. Never had any trouble with Goodwin before him.

BTW - it's not actually DAN approving the shop - he's now the scheduler for the entire area - most likely it's an automated message. Glad yours got approved.

I think his name is Andrew Mallet
I have shopped for Goodwin for about six years. Went to some wonderful places that I couldn't otherwise visit. There were some payment issues several years ago, but payments are Now A-OK.
So basically the OP, an Independent Contractor, in some way annoyed the customer, Dan, Goodwin's representative. So the customer does not want to do business with her any more. Their choice. As a independent contractor, the OP has the right to do business with any company she wishes and to stop working with a company for any reason - or for NO reason. The customer has a right to decide not to do business with any independent contractor for any reason - or for NO reason. Is it "fair" to the OP that she's done outstanding work but the customer refuses to work with her any more? If a customer doesn't want to do business with an individual or a business, it's their choice. Would it be "fair" to Dan and Goodwin to work with her when he doesn't want to? With an outstanding shopping history, the OP will probably land on her feet and my advice is for her to accept that the customer doesn't want her and move on to other companies that do want to work with her. There are lots of companies.

And, yes, I did not shop with Goodwin years ago because they had late payment issues, well documented on this forum and on Volition. They straightened that out several years ago and they now pay like clockwork. Good company. Low pay on the shops I see, but they have a few clients I like.
