Alta 360

Does anyone have any experience with this company? I signed up and was given a shop which I completed today. It is due tomorrow but I am a bit uneasy about submitting it. The shop required purchasing over one hundred dollars worth of a specific product. It is not a product I have ever used. It cannot be returned and you must submit photos that show that you destroyed the product's packaging. The shopper was required to spend within a specific range which I found difficult. I bought products that amounted to two cents lower than the minimum amount. With tax, it was within the guidelines but I don't know whether that is considered. I emailed the scheduler but have not received a response. I began to complete the survey (but did not destroy the packaging yet) but was unable to download any of the required pictures. A message came up saying something like "error you are denied access to this site". It also says that the report cannot be submitted until 4/7 which is today. There is no place to "save" the work I have done. I am very reluctant to proceed with this shop because if I destroy over one hundred dollars worth of products and the shop is rejected, I am out a lot of money. Any advice?

I am unfamiliar with this project. I suggest you try a different browser to access their website and see how that works. I recommend Google Chrome. I also do not understand that you cannot save the work, since at the bottom of the survey page there is a save button on shop metrics.
Also consider that it is the weekend and this company is a Monday thru Friday operation.
Generally, Alta360 does not have weekend hours. They are a M-F in office operation. They do assign shops for the weekend, but if you have a problem, Sue does not get in touch with anybody until Monday. There are alternate weekend schedulers, so if your shop is not due until tomorrow she may not answer you tilled then. Otherwise Monday is your reply. If your shop report and assignment is not due until tomorrow (April 8) I am surprised it let you into the reporting stage. Sue is the head honcho.

I know the product you are shopping. I would not destroy the product or its packing before conferring with someone at Alta360. A $100 is a $100.

You may not return the product for a "shop" assignment, but as a regular customer if you are dissatisfied with a product, you should be able to returned it.

I googled and ebayed the product, what the Client wants done with it is not the manufactures desire. So unless you hear from the MSC and is sure you are going to get paid. That product sits in the backroom with receipt and packing until you know for sure, you can move forward.

BTW, Alta360 does not pay if guidelines are not followed to the T.

That all sounds accurate except the reporting part: I usually have a date range to complete and submit a report, sometimes as big of a range as 2 weeks with this MSC. But, like I said, I am not familiar with this particular project and perhaps it is the type of shop where it is supposed to be completed and submitted only on one day.
I did this same shop. I had a question and got a quick response. I went over the allocated amount (by less than a buck) and wanted to know if that was acceptable before I destroyed the boxes. I was told it was fine, but I would not get reimbursed for the extra. No big deal. I was even able to purchase while it was BOGO half off so I was able to purchase 4 items. You are also able to use the store’s reward card. Extra bonus!
I have done a fairly large number of shops for them (over 600) and never had a single one rejected. That said, I would email the scheduler and just hang on for a day or two until you hear back before destroying the packaging. Just in case.

In my experience, it’s not a problem with this company to have a shop go overdue a little, especially if it’s because you need clarification on something.
