Beware of J M Ridgeway...

Well, I guess that solves the riddle that has been brought up on this forum many times. If a company feels a certain way about you they will notify other companies. Search: Blackball

In this case, it sounds like the OP deserved it. However, there are other instances where a scheduler is covering her rear and spreads information about the shopper that is definitely slanted, if not outright false.

That happened to me. Someone from here, this forum, talked to one of the schedulers that I work with and she told me about it. shameful
Sounds like this shopper went off the rails big time. This MSC and scheduler Nikki rock. Nikki always responsive and professional. Always.
spicy, is that someone who still posts on the forum currently or an old MIA forum member? And how in the world would they know who you were IRL to say anything about you to a scheduler?
OP is a forum poster as of 4/13/18 at 7:49PM, and attacks JM Ridgeway at 7:54PM. Troll much, OP?

Please keep all of us posted over your massive lawsuit over a $10 shop that you couldn't use a GPS correctly to find. Hope that you feel much better.

How in the world did they know you well enough to talk to a scheduler about you? Did it stop you from getting work with them?
And BTW, who was it? I want to know who is running their mouths to schedulers.
There is a scheduler who has a favorite shopper that lives in my area. The shopper actually texted me asking vague questions. It was at that point that I knew something was going on.

I am an awesome shopper, stealth, complete, never late and never flake. So, essentially, it didn't go far. However, I did not take the scheduler's offer of video shops. She wanted me to take what was left-over from her fav's pickings. I don't do left-overs, unless there's a HUGE bonus.

Hi Alexandra!!!!!!! lol

eta: nothing to do with JMRidgeway.

email from the shopper {OP}:

I still want to be paid for this shop. Otherwise, I am leaving a nasty review and never doing another shop.

Didn't get what she wanted and She {THE op} then writes back
Go right ahead. My shopper ratings are high. Go hang yourself. Look forward to the review.

This has definitely not played out like the OP thought it would. Her "nasty review" on this forum not only was deleted but it only made Ridgway look better and more professional and made her look bad. I wonder if she will bother to come back and read what other shoppers and a few schedulers posted about her. I wonder if she will be foolish enough to post any more reviews. Despite that she says "My shopper ratings are high," I think she's losing a lot of work. Good thing there are a lot of companies out there for her to sign up with.

As for being blackballed, I don't think MSC schedulers will be getting together and saying "Let's none of us use the OP." Rather, I think they may read the warnings about her and decide to stay away. That's the value of a forum where we as shoppers can let other shoppers know about bad companies. It also works the other way: shoppers (and schedulers and other MSC employees) can let others know about bad shoppers ....and sometimes the shoppers themselves advertise how bad they are.
Oh she definitely had a good length of rope to hang herself (which one of the horrible things she wrote was for the MSC reps to hang themselves, nice eh) besides a bunch of name calling. I am sure she has read how the forum reacted since she posted. We won't be seeing her under that screen name again, I am sure.

Not too difficult to figure out who most posters are, even with pseudonyms.

"Let me offer you my definition of social justice: I keep what I earn and you keep what you earn. Do you disagree? Well then tell me how much of what I earn belongs to you - and why?” ~Walter Williams
Another forum member figured out who she was...I could see how an MSC rep could find out, but another forum member? Unless they have moderator privileges or a mod told them someone's identity, I don't think so. If that were the case, I would be pretty pissed and I would quit posting on this forum. Now with my handle, one could take a few guesses as to what my name is, but really, iShop123, you think you can figure out who I am, or spicy? If you can do that, please PM me what my name is.
I went to shop for a new to me company and the scheduler who had met me personally and worked with at another company says, "Get this, they told me I can't use you as a shopper because you are a bad shopper!" I was surprised, come to find out this particular scheduler who I had never dealt with had me mixed up with some other shopper. Thankfully the scheduler I knew set everything straight and I did several shops for them last year! Sometimes it is just a miscommunication. smiling smiley
JAS, with <2 mins of looking, I know where you're from, where you grew up, that you're married, when you got certified, and that you consistently spell "alot" as one word ;-). If someone wanted to take the time to go through 9k posts, it would probably be easy enough to figure out. Just MHO. (But I'm not spending the time to go through 9k posts for free.) Nothing on the Internet is private.

Wow.

Sometimes people do give out too much info about themselves online but I doubt any MSC is doing research on shoppers via this site.
I know what I have posted on here and never was concerned about that, but I am damned sure that unless you are friends with a moderator, or a MSC rep or someone else who actually knows my name, you would not be able to find out my name. Going through 9k posts is not going to tell you that.
Wasn't there a person on here last year that stalked people? I don't think she was a mod so she must have figured it out another way.

There was a mod that stalked people. That's why I try to give the mods as much work as I possibly can. So they don't have too much time on their hands. They're supposed to be correcting spelling and stuff. Not reading through our PMs and threatening us.

I have been stalked here and on V. Pretty annoying to be sure.

ETA: That's why I don't use my real name here.

Some people would be easier to find than others, but I agree with JAS. Unless you have access to shopper data or you're a mod it would be difficult to get people's names. There are a few I probably could if I wanted to waste the time.

Now, if you have access to shopper data? Absolutely could tell the name of half the people on here.

I'll bet OP was really easy to find. How many shoppers called the MSC imbeciles in emails this week? Probably one.

Y'all make Dave out to be a super sleuth. So many distinct details are given. I'll bet he finds these goofs within an hour every time. Yet, he still does not know my name. smiling smiley
@JASFLALMT wrote:

Are you saying that iShop123 is Dave?

I'm not following that closely, but Dave (Sentry) has been known to figure out who's trash talking him pretty quickly.

So many people here doing shady stuff (multiple ID's etc).
The shopper said what she had to say. She vented. I doubt she will be back to check.

Man, talk about a backfire! I am sure she did not envision it turning out this way. How arrogant.

Oh, hell no.

I change my name a lot, and it’s so I can remain “mysterious”. It isn’t about stalking anyone and I don’t care who doesn’t like it.

I can feel the underlying structure of this forum changing sometimes—and I’ve seen a page where all of my posts from years and years are recorded. It isn’t accessible tonight? Like I said, the underlying structure changes here.

I guess the owner moderators could go into that information if they wanted to (for what reason I have no idea), but I believe MSCs could find out anything they wanted from anyone registered in this forum.

As for the OP of this topic, she reminds me of the new hire at my regular job who hurt his back very soon after he began work. Come to find out he always hurts his back at all of his jobs. It’s how he makes his living.

The OP is probably the kind who goes around looking for somebody to sue in court! What a sap. How lame. Hilarious OP, trying to sue a MSC.

JM Ridgeway are a very reputable and old mystery shopping company. No bad words for them here.

Why would someone spend $250 to sue an MSC in court over a $10 shop fee. That just sounds like an empty threat.
