A CLOSER LOOK = massive scheduler emails

Thus far, I have received 26 e-mails this month (and the 3rd isn't even over) from one ACL scheduler. Plus others from other ACL schedulers. I'm going to have to go to the hand doctor soon for delete finger repair.

Hmmm..... I wonder what would happen if you (and a hundred other folks) were to reply to each email sent by said scheduler with a very polite, "Thank you for letting me know about the opportunity, but I am unable to help you at this time... I promise not to reply to these emails when you begin to send me fewer."

Just a musing....

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I had to turn off another's email option, everyday an email for a job that was never on the board....can you turn it OFF? I find these companies send hard locations and emails no one wants, while the good jobs get taken.

SoCalMama - I have an email folder set up JUST FOR anything from @a-closer-look.com They no longer clutter up my shopper email box. And as for phone calls from that company - yeesh! They never had permission to contact me for shops, yet even asking the scheduler to STOP calling 3x a day to do pizza shops....I changed number and didn't update my profile (!)
I’m very intrigued by this discussion as I actually tend to get the least amount of emails from ACL vs other MSC’s. I’m not sure if it’s due to my demographics, location, or quality of my work - I do have immediate self assign rights and for sure have a favorite scheduler, but I can’t say that I’ve ever been flooded with emails from them.
I have noticed a bunch of new scheduler names in my area, not just from ACL but also from other companies. I don't think the new schedulers are totally aware of the impact on the receiving end of what they are doing. As new staff they seem really eager to get their job done and constant and repeated contact with cutesy subject lines seems to be on the top of the list for many of them. So we need to educate them to be careful which audience they target and to make sure to put pertinent info into the subject line....or their emails will be deleted without reading. I am sure that is the last thing they want to happen....Oh and I get many more emails an hour from Intelli about those burger shops than I get for a whole month from acl.

Thus far I have written two MSC (schedulers) sending these emails personally, and begged to remove me, to no avail, they keep coming. Isopos has the same jobs on their site, yet this ONE scheduler insists on daily sending me a email for a visa card job (if you have one), you're able to do job (which I don't). I told him, now he is on this forum with a thread about every state in the USA......doesn't he know, we can go to the site and accept if interested...stupid job, even stupider scheduler, with pay oh so low. Sorry, I had to vent, maybe he'll read this.

I answered Bill (Isposos) thread about the Visa job, and my post was deleted. He also listed jobs being in CA, when they are in Philly....it's been corrected.

I need to do this when I get home.

I have picked up shops while traveling, so I have schedulers in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and Inland Empire all emailing me.
No one is more annoying than Bill from Isposos, he also thinks this forum is a scheduling company, posting every job that they have on their board. I complained and got deleted. I now took my myself off all emails from them...and am turned off from working for them, so I'll lose 10.00.....hooray, I can breath again. I don't work for
Closer Look, never have anything up here.

Speaking up does it, I received an apology from "Bill" at Isopos for the emails, but between you and me, I'm not accepting it, and won't work for him....I'm, over 18, can do as I please...smiling smiley
