I just tried your workaround and it changed the delivery area to a different one for me. Actually it changed it to another state, so unfortunately it does not work for me, but a worth a try and thanks for sharing.

I'm having similar issues with DD -- I build the order, go to checkout then get an error -- I never got these kinds of errors with the other delivery/pickup vendors.
Anybody else notice how absurd DD's fees are? Nearly 40% of the total cost goes to DD or the driver. I get there is some premium for this, but $12 on a $20 order? DD attempts to hide their 11% fee in the "Fees & Taxes" line, then the delivery fee, then the tip (which is calculated on the full total -- not the before tax and fee amount). Then the delivery is 90% of the time late and the food is cold.
This program is nice, but I cannot see myself ever using DD outside of this.

I've spoke already with BVA about potential issues with my account. She definitely assured me that we're not the only ones experiencing similar issues. Though I was initially able to get a handful of orders through last week, none of my orders are going through any more sad smiley

But that's the job and hope their end-client fixes the solution DURING this project instead of after.

Is the program over? I received an email stating that we could only order for one meal per day starting next week, but I don't see any new shops available for next week.

It's my understanding that the project has gone through different waves. There was an e-mail sent this morning stating that there would be no more shops until further notice due to meeting their demand for this round over the weekend. I believe that this was wave 6. I assume that once they receive new guidelines, they'll start the next wave. My city was not open for wave 5, so there's no guarantee that your city will be available the next round. I assume that there will be a next round because towards the end of October, an e-mail was sent out that listed cities where they'd need shoppers in the future. Another reason that I believe that there will be another round is because I was also receiving errors this weekend, so whatever the issue was still wasn't fixed.
Ugh. I don't want to eat home cooked food like a normie. This has been the best assignment for my wallet, hands down. My waistline? That's another story.
Your lucky your orders went through. Not one of mine did. I would pick out food and never get it. After the order failed i would have to go cook!
After getting today’s email I picked up a bunch of fast casual food shops I’d been ignoring while the project was in full-swing.
@Angelbug if you haven't gotten payment from them in over a week, send them an email. Their next pay day is tomorrow, so if you don't get any payment tomorrow, definitely send them an email.
I finally received payment after reaching out via email. Today BVA sent out an email stating they can no longer use PayPal. The new payment process seems to be a prepaid virtual Visa card once you supply your SWIFT number. Nope no thanks. I did another project for them using the international wire transfer method.....the fees chewed up my pay. sad smiley
Today's email also stated that moving forward they are only doing jobs they assign, not self-assigns. Has anyone been contacted to do a job since the current wave ended?
I can answer my own question -- I was assigned an unsolicited shop via email today.
Can you give us an idea what the fees are? I am wondering whether I should just be done with this project. Not one of my orders have gone through. $10 each time was nice, but if it will be significantly less, I will have to reassess whether I want to continue.
I got the email saying a job has been assigned to me. Should I expect to see it appear on its own in "my jobs" or for those who have had this happen, do i need to go to "new jobs" and book from there?
@KendraG2 It’ll just show up. Sometimes it takes a few hours. They’ve said there’s no self-assigning right now.
Yes, I see it now! It just took a little bit. Are they being more flexible now? My email subject header refers to a job for 11/25 (sent at 11am CST on 11/23), the job itself is dated for 11/25, but then says the job is for "tomorrow or the day after at the latest"... I'm hoping I really will get reimbursed if I place my order tomorrow (11/24).

In this case, Swift is the name of a payment service, not that they want your bank’s SWIFT code. Money gets loaded on a Visa giftcard. Unfortunately, you can’t transfer the money to your bank. You have to use it for future purchases.

So are there any fees deducted from the amount that we are paid or is the full amount loaded onto a Visa giftcard?
I appreciate the updates of this post. After hearing someone was assigned, I logged into my account to see that I have one as well for 11/26. I have checked my gmail account created for the project in addition to the spam of my yahoo, but I never got notification from the MSC.
Question for those of you that have been assigned shops. How long does it take to show up in your account. The email said that I would see it in my account tomorrow, but it has been a full 24 hours and I still do not see it in my account.
