Alta360 sketchy shops?

All the shops from this company look really sketchy. One is a storage company shop where you are required to actually sign up and pay, but then they claim your purchases will be immediately reversed. Another is you have to buy $100+ in products from a drugstore, destroy the packaging, write "not for resale" on each item, and then you will be reimbursed. Both have shop fees on top.

Does anyone shop for them? These seem really sketchy to me and I'm not going to risk $100+ of my own money on a chance of not getting paid.

In my experience, their shops don’t pay much, but the company itself is honest & shopper friendly. I have never had them reject a shop, or treat me unfairly.
Alta360 is a legitimate company. I have done the storage shop and the charge was reversed. I believe the letter you’re supposed to give them when you reveal has instructions for the employee on how to process the reversal. Mine was back in my bank account when I checked the next day. Your bank’s policy will determine how soon the funds are available.
I have not done the drugstore shop, but there are a few threads about it. They want the packaging destroyed so you can’t return/resell the items. They will reimburse if you follow instructions. My understanding is that it is a buy back off certain products, so you may not be able to pick out items you would actually use.
I have done the drugstore shop. Be advised...you will be required to spend $115 for products you may not want. They reimburse the entire $115. The reason the packaging has to be destroyed is so you cannot sell the items on ebay, etc. If you are looking for a product that is supposed to help with thinning hair, this shop is for you.
I did the drugstore shop and was thrilled to get $120 worth of product I've been wanting to try. I've worked for this company, happily, for a few years.

Shopping up and down the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range.
They definitely are NOT sketchy. They're not the highest paying around, but they are honest and legit. It's up to you to pick and choose which shops are a good fit for you.
They've probably paid me close to $100k since I started shopping. They're a great company.

You must be O-L-D...............haha, just kidding!!!
I once got triple and then double the fee for taking some distance shops. Picked up some other shops along the way and I came out $150 better off that day. So the are legit.
They are a very legitimate company. The fees are low, but the shops are plentiful and the reports are easy.

Does anyone know if they are allowing shoppers to do more than one of these shops? I completed one at a drugstore for the hair product about a month ago, and because I'll use the product, I'll gladly take another shop! I applied for one at a the same drug store but a different location about a week ago but I haven't heard back.
Just reporting back that I did the storage shop, and it went smoothly. Was actually fun because I got to reveal myself at the end and say good job. Too bad you can only do one total.

Thanks for the reassurance.
allisonvl- just one shop per shopper, and with their client having so many stores (even IF only upper tier stores of this chain carry the hair product), it must be difficult for them to find shoppers. Alta 360 ( and previous AKAs) have always been legit with me.
Thanks for the feedback! I wish I could do more. I love this product. There are so many that haven’t been filled near me. I’m hoping they will change the requirements.
I've done cracked phone screen shops for them. They pay quickly and I have never had a problem.
This is a good company for the most part. Yes, they do reject shops. I know because they personally rejected one of mine.
The biggest problem with them is they want shoppers to do shops of varying distances for 7 or 8 dollars. If I work one in for ten or so, it will not be my first priority for input since I do the same thing for another company and make darn good money doing it. So good in fact that I've reduced the number of nickel and dime shops to a minimum.I'm clearing a k every two weeks without doing 5 dollar shops or narratives. (unless I want to or a reimbursement on something I'm going to do anyway. They are a good filler for a light in town day (no route or a vary short route) for added chump change at the end of the month. But do a couple basic ones to get the hang of them and get certified. Then watch your emails when they stop saying "do ten and get $3 dollars extra" then you will make a little money. (25-30 instead of 7-10).
I also did the drugstore one and am very happy with my $120 worth of hair products. They paid right on time for that shop as well.

i'm still waiting for my payment from early last month. I think it should come in the next week!
alta pays like clockwork if you have Gigspot set up with direct deposit on the last day of the following month for the entire previous month's shops.
Other than the one shop that was rejected they have always paid me.
I was heartbroken to see that they now have a gas client that was with a different MSC recently. Of course the pay is about half of what it was, which wasn't much anyway, probably never to be bonused.
I bought lottery tix at their gas ststion shops. I got paid promptly but sadly I can't retire or buy a country with the winnings.
Not sure why these shops sound sketchy....

I'm doing the storage shop this week, and the fee is quite nice. I wish I needed the hair products. I'd do one for the reimbursement, but the fee's not worth it for something I don't need. My husband needs it; maybe they'll start offering this for the men's products! LOL.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
