Hi everyone, I'm Leslie and new to the board, but not new to mystery shopping. I did a search to see if anyone else had a bad experience with this company. since I haven't found a thread on them I thought I'd start one.
I signed up with this company to do a sandwich shop that was supposed to pay $12. Not a lot, but it was about the same as other shops I've gotten. So I go on my allotted day, buy the sandwich, a drink and a side, which costs me more than $10. So I fill out my form and about an hour later I get an email back from the company rep asking me to give more information. I thought no problem, it was my first job and I wasn't sure how they wanted things filled out, so I send it right back to her.
Tonight she calls me and tells me that the company "questioned the validity" of my shop because I did not see a manager on site (which I did not. They said their managers wear green shirts, and I reported the only person in a green shirt was a guy with reddish brown hair bussing tables. I didn't go up and stare at his chest to see if his badge said "manager". I guess I should have). So because I never found the female manager that was lurking somewhere in the building, they aren't going to pay me or reimburse me for the food I bought. Now, this company is the only one I've ever come across that wants people to do a background check for shops. This particular one didn't require it, so I didn't do it (they cost $19). So beware of this company, they're advertising that they have shops all over the country, they shops are expensive for the shoppers and they get what they want while screwing you out of your pay.
