Anyone done this shop where you put something together in the cart and then return it?

I am hoping it is as simple as it sounds. I took one and will do another if it is simple.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Buy $200 worth of required materials and then, within an hour, return them. Note certain actions there were or were not performed by the employees.

That's what I read.
I think the hardest part will be finding the required items. And I read it as you have to wait at least an hour before returning, not within an hour.
I just read the information and made a copy of what to take on the shop. Ill put the info in a folder.
Guess they want to see if they ring up the blade and the differences in the items when they are part of a large order,.
Doesn't seem too hard and hoping to get it done within 45 minutes and will return the stuff later in the day.
It's much more than that.....seems much better than the shop from a different company for Home Depot that was the same idea...
Yes I read over the shop they want to check if they are ringing up items proper and checking for hidden items. It is listed as a loss prevention shop. The pay for me was $50 base rate. I am sorry I did not grab 2 right away. I hope it is an ongoing shop. I would do it as often as possible.

Well after doing the shop I may do again but would need a better pay. Too long finding items with exact barcode. Some were quick others not so much. Find specific screw in a minefield of screws not fun. Overall took 90 minutes for shop and 10 minutes for return.

I went into the store just before you and switched all the screws around. smiling smiley

Post removed as it breached the Forum guideline which states, "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies". Additionally, it is usually an ICA violation to name both the MSC and client.

I did mine today. It wasn't too bad. Finding the stuff was a challenge, but not as bad as I expected and the report was delightfully easy.

Agreed, Thankfully the report was easy. If I did a second one I would hope its the same items so it would go faster now that I know where they are. Still think I want $75 thou.

Whoops...my bad...I forgot the MSC was in the thread title, and I named the client in my previous post. At any rate, go to the store’s website to locate the items first. I did, and it took me 16 minutes to find the items this morning...and I never shop at those home improvement stores! So easy!
