Late Maritz Invoices

So I'm really, really stressed right now. I've been slacking lately on tracking received payments from MSCs. I decided to go over things this morning. I noticed that I haven't been paid by Maritz in a few months. I don't do a ton of work for them, but still this amounted to over $600. So I tried to get in touch with billing but couldn't get through. I did speak with a scheduler, though. He asked if I had invoiced the shops. I told him that a scheduler had informed me around the time of the new website that shops wouldn't need invoiced any more. He said that was definitely not correct, that all shops still needed invoiced. He was very nice and said that I would still be able to invoice the shops and get paid. He said he would pass a note along to billing and to expect a call. So I've been impatiently waiting for that call, to hopefully confirm what the scheduler told me. Any experience with late invoicing? Is the scheduler correct in that I should still get paid? I feel so stupid but I know that I had a conversation with a scheduler about invoicing going away. I don't know if I misunderstood or if they just told me incorrectly. Ugghhh.

Don’t feel bad....we all make mistakes in life. You handled it correctly. The lady who handles invoices is nice and helpful. Since the 14-day window for invoicing has passed, she will likely have to do it for you. Make sure you have the shop numbers and dates handy. I’ve done hundreds of shops for them, and have forgotten to invoice a handful of times. I was always paid when I brought it to their attention...one time, it was three months later!
Don't feel bad Snuffy. It happens to all of us. I did a shop for them in January and I forgot to invoice it. I didn't realize it until way past the 14 day window and the shop was no longer on my board. Like rac said, the invoice lady was super nice. She did the invoice for me, and I was paid the following cycle.

I will echo everything stated above. The lady who handles shopper payments is fantastic. I'd go ahead and call try calling her once or twice more while awaiting her call.

Thanks for the replies. You were all very helpful. I hadn't received a call back, so taking MFJohnston's advice, I made another call and was able to reach Janet! As you have all said, she was fantastic. She was very understanding and took care of everything for me. Thanks again!
I go so far as to call her every 6 months or so just to make sure there isn’t something sitting in invoice limbo that I may have missed. One time she found some jobs that hadn’t been invoices from like 6 months prior. I don’t know how I didn’t have them In my tracking spreadsheet but she found them and I still got paid.
Maritz takes a LOT of flack but they’re still one of my top 3 MSC’s for income and ability to work with them.

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
I too recently had to contact as I forgot to invoice shops from march. The payments lady invoiced them for me and I was paid on the 15th of this month.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
