Reassurance I will get a check from MF

How can I convince my husband MF or MS is not a scam. It is because I just started and dont get paid until next month! I have done about 20 jobs. All approved.

They pay like clockwork. They typically pay by the 15th of the month, but payment isnt due till the 20th.. We all dealt with people thinking we are nuts and that there is no such thing as mystery shopping. i made over 12k last year doing this part time. I wont lie though...it was a lot of work and you must have great organizational skills.

I am an educator and I really am very excited! This fits my detail oriented mind mind perfectly and my kids love the snacks I snag at the gas stations. Thank goodness for this forum otherwise I would second guess myself all day since I haven't been paid yet.
Most MSCs (MS companies) pay from 30 to 90 days after a report is accepted. You are an independent contractor, which is far, far different from being an employee. Please be sure to read the many topics "pinned" to the top of the list in the New Mystery Shoppers area, here. They will help you to better understand that you are now in business for yourself. That means some record keeping (for tax purposes), marketing and investments of your time, among other things, will be required to make the best of this opportunity. Enjoy!!!

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
You will definitely get a check from Market Force. If you get paid by check, you will probably get it later than the 20th because it is mailed. If you want faster payment, direct deposit from Market Force is a faster option. Usually the money is deposited anywhere from the 10th-15th.
I've been doing MS since the 80's - when they called you on the phone to offer shops and reports were done in triplicate with carbon paper. I can count the number of times billing was late on one hand. None of my reports have ever been completely rejected, though I may have been on the naughty list a couple of times. I say use your smart person common sense and you won't go wrong. Welcome smiling smiley
I think you will like direct deposit. Did the checking account you signed up for offer you free checking if you have direct deposit? Your monthly deposit from Market Force, even if it is small some months, can qualify you for the direct deposit requirement that would give you a free account.
You could do a countdown to the days you receive the check and then buy him something special when it arrives. He will be a believer then! That's what I'd do with my kids when they were wary of something and it worked every time.
MF is one of the fastest paying MSC’s in my experience. I am signed up for DD and was most recently paid on 6/10 and 5/15. Hope that helps! =)
LOL! There's a mystery shopping company out there that will pay you $60 to open a new checking account at a major bank! You can find them on PrestoInstaMaps to see if there's one close enough to you to make it worth your while!

Welcome to the world of mystery shopping! There are so many experienced folks on this forum who are a wealth of knowledge and can answer probably almost any question you have.

It's a great idea to open an account just for your mystery-shopping income. Easier for tax record-keeping purposes for one, and nice to have a little extra pot of $$ as/if needed.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

Tell your husband that every now and then he needs to trust your judgement. You have researched the industry, made an informed judgement that Market Force is legitimate, and that you have made a decision to risk your time and a small bit of your money on Market Force. If he can't trust you on these little things ask yourself what else he doesn't trust you with.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just don't fall for the many SCAMS out there!!! NO MSC, be it MF or any other, will EVER send you large checks, asking you to deposit the check and then keep so much for yourself, and then go buy gift cards or any other such thing. These SCAMS are RAMPANT and many times a new mystery shopper comes on here to ask if they are legit....they are NOT!! If you ever get one, tear it up or take it to your local postmaster. PLEASE be careful with this!!
Another piece of advice is if you are not completely confident in the company or project, then only take one shop, do a good job with it, and then wait for your payment. This way, if things do go sideways, you're only out the time, effort, and expense of one shop. You said you have done 20 shops so far with MF and are concerned about payment. If something did go wrong, you're out the time, effort, and expense times 20!

To echo what all the other members have said, MF is a good, solid company that is a reliable payer. I'm sure that you will be receiving your first check soon.

Good idea to open a separate account for mystery shopping. A separate account makes it easier around tax time.

And a separate email. Had I known back in 2001 how my business would grow, I would have done that. At this point it doesn't really matter and would be a PITA to change it now.
I had no idea either if you want to use PAYPAL you have to use that email address for your shops. sad smiley

You can add multiple emails that point to your one paypal account. You can find the option under settings or preferences, or whatever it is called on paypal.
