True, but Market Force usually tells shoppers. My list includes companies that deactivate shoppers without telling them and then do not respond to telephone calls and emails asking what happened and why. Market Force does deactivate a lot of shoppers but usually notifies them. In cases where there was no notification, and the shopper emails to ask what is wrong, Market Force responds. That's the difference I see here.
I have only performed 20 shops or so for them. All on time. All 10 report scores. I had a shop that went bad. Due to my own ethics I could not complete it. I emailed the scheduler right away with a detailed explanation. I was told I was being deactivated due to my phone number not being valid. Not the "situation", but my phone number being invalid. My phone number is perfectly valud and working. I suspect it was misdailed. Subsequently, when I saw shops I wanted, via email alerts, I simply asked for them. Different schedulers. I explained the situation without outing the scheduler and was thanked for my honesty. It's my experience that some real good eggs work there. I totally understand your frustration. I was the same. Reach out. You may find some help.
I think sinclair deactivated me and didnt tell me. I can log in and it says shops in my area but none available to me. I thought it was I needed to complete the certification which I then did but the shops still arent available. I also receive emails for the shops. I canceled a pizza shop when i got to the location and it looked like I would need a gun to get out of my car. Where I would need to park was also a long distance away. The scheduler was nice and apologized for the situation. But I think then I was secretly deactivated.

I wonder what the purpose of a "secret" deactivation could be. Would it not be better for all concerned to let the shopper know he was deactivated? It looks like it would save the company time and effort no to have to wad through all the requests that will not be accepted.

My guess is that it is so they can change their mind and secretly re-activate you if they get desperate to have a shop filled in your area. They probably don't see any sense in burning bridges.

I was deactivated by Sinclair in 2008 for some random reason (maybe my phone didn't work or an email bounced?). I called, listened to some chick berate me and then she reactivated me. I'm sure she no longer works there, and I have not had an issue since.
Money has been sitting in Bill.com for ages. I gave my bank info., they said they tried to put it in, but account rejected it. I went to my bank and they said, no deposit from Bill.com was made. I use Paypal all the time with no problem. Anyone have this problem with Bill.com? I just won't work for Ath if this doesn't get resolved.

Richard Bradley is one of the people to whom I emailed and for whom I left phone messages. He did not respond. Neither did the founder, Mr. Aloi or the next in line, Ms. Saladini. I had their direct phone lines and email addresses at ath Power.

I'm wondering why you just didn't send hard-copy mail through the postal system, with signature required? At least you'd know your communications had been received. Also, I find that snail-mail communication often will get noticed and not lost in the hundreds of e-mails people get. You might still have not gotten a reply, but sometimes when a person can see in front of their faces what someone's been attempting to explain via e-mail, it makes more sense to them. And phone calls? Bah. People don't return calls anymore....

"Old-fashioned" mail still has its place. I once called and e-mailed a client for weeks about an overdue payment. She didn't respond until I sent a registered letter.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I again wrote to Ath asking if they sent me a check, as my funds are still in Bill.com and should have gone out July 1st. Wrote to all involve, waiting for an answer, but really waiting for my pay...four jobs done the first week of May. Slow as a snail, 6 weeks is enough to wait.

Live consciously....
MarketForce de-activated me years ago for something to do with my working in Vegas, they didn't like that.
I just moved on, now many years later, they want me back, new schedulers see thing in a different way, but I haven't re-joined, no reason except the low pay and hassle, have enough for now.

I just received a response to my email from Ath, saying, money is ready to be sent out July 1st., but depending on when they send it, it should take 10 days...WHAT THE ____. PayPal pays in one day. I'm so done with Bill.com and Ath only has the one bank job here, so over them as well. Have spent more time tracking this down.

If ATH tells you they pay on July 1st your payment from Bill.com will not take 10 days. Snail mail takes 10 days. You will first get an email from Bill.com around the fifth saying payment is on the way and usually within one day you get another email saying you were paid and the money is in your bank account. (Holidays and weekends may delay that.) Same with the 15th. You will get it around the 20th in your bank account. If you do a shop near the last day of the month or near the 15th it may not be included in the batch for payment until the payment date following the normal pay period. When I have had a payment issue I contacted Ellen Barkhouse by email and she has always been very helpful and followed through for me. I do not know if she is only in the New England area or nationwide, but she is great to work with with administrative issues.
I competed 4 jobs starting May 1st thru the 14th. I just got paid today...this took Ath 8 weeks to get my money into account. They said money was ready July 1st, but wasn't put in until the 5th.....why? takes Paypal one day
Ellen was responsive and told me to expect it the 5th.

Funds went into my bank July 5th, we're good to go, but it was a hassle and took too long for DD..PayPal takes one day, 5 days seems way too long for DD.

I finally responded to an email about shops and the scheduled responded that she could schedule me but that I couldn’t self assign because I was lsomething ridiculous like a 10 and start with 80. She said schedulers dont know reasons for the ratings. Odd since I only signed up for that one shop that I canceled due to my personal safety. Anyhow she was very nice and got me scheduled.
I have been with Sinclair for two years. There has been 3 or 4 times I saw there were no shops in my area. At first I could not believe it because in Los Angeles County there are hundreds and thousands of businesses and shops are always available. Anyway, long story shortened, I was told that the zip code in the system was different from what it should have been. How that happened remains a mystery. All I know is that I didn't make the change. Sinclair fixed it, and shops reappeared. This has occurred more than once. So, if you login and don't see shops, it doesn't necessarily mean the account had been deactivated. Give 'em a call. It might be just some kind of computer glitch in their system.
Call them. It's happened to me before. I was told that my zip codes for shops were different from what I signed up for. How they got changed is a mystery. However, Sinclair changed them back to the originals, and shops reappeared.
roflwofl I only made several inquiries of the founder, the COO, and one other person listed as "Executive Management". I stopped contacting them when it became obvious that none of them were going to respond. Then I posted about it here.

I do not think that they would have paid me for the disputed shop if somebody hadn't agreed with me that I was not in error. I have no doubt that the "secret deactivation" was done by the person who initially stated that I had erred, and it was done in retaliation for showing them up or whatever. That is rather immature. I can not help it if I insist on being paid when I have done a job properly, and I am the first to admit when I have made mistakes. Yup, I have made mistakes.

Thanks for your feedback!
Be careful what you write, Big Brother is listening...I was de-activated from Ath and I think it's clear it was due to my writing about my problems with pay and my confusion with Bill.com. Never doing the bank job again, just a note to be cautious, if you want to continue working for a company after a problem, may be best not to air it on the forum. I'm fine and I hope they continue with all their success.
