I've never worked with them or even heard of them. I checked a couple of boards and although there was a request for information elsewhere about a year ago, there was no response.

Gapbuster is located in Australia, I believe. The difficulties with that are that you can't pick up the phone and ask them a question without international call charges. And because they are many many time zones away, 'normal working hours' is in the middle of the night here, so a quick answer to a question by email is unlikely.
I like the client but the shop is absolutely not worth it for me.

It's one of those flat fee with no reimbursement situations that essentially adds up to being a coupon with a lot of work attached.

They use Clientsmart software and it somehow confuses my computer into thinking I'm on the TNS site and I have to manually type in my password, which is also too much trouble to deal with. Has anyone actually done of of these?

The email states 10 minutes in the store and another 10 to fill out the report, but I'm always skeptical of claims like that.
I don't know that I even looked. An international call for a $12 job is SOOOO not worth it. And yes I know that there are Skype and similar that make international calls free now since they are done over the internet, but there is still the time of day issue.
I was on Gapbusters website yesterday and I could not figure out how to apply. But if I'm not mistaken, I thought I saw a toll free number for them.

Hi

Thanks for you enquiry!

At this stage our major presence in the USA is in CA and FL with many locations in these states. We also have one location in TX.

Sorry to say there is nothing in NC at the moment.

Our client in the USA is rapidly growing so this could change as they add more locations.

If you join us as a shopper we will notify you if anything becomes available in your local area as new clients are added and others expand.

Fantastic!

Once signed up if you are travelling to other locations in the USA that have jobs you are welcome to pick up those.

Also if you travel outside the USA you can also shop in other countries while on holiday.

Hi, Matthew, getting started means starting your own small business to perform mystery shops as an independent contractor for various mystery shopping companies. Getting started is very time-consuming, because you will research and set up your business. I suggest you start reading in the New Member area for great tips. There's a list of legitimate companies below, the blue link at the bottom of the age, Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies. Sign up with at least 50 to get a good variety of available assignments.
I would also suggest removing your phone number.

I love the shops in Florida - thanks Shop Angels! I usually end up buying something in the store, for my daughter and sometimes myself. I try on clothes, so I'm in the store 10-20 minutes and the report takes 5 minutes.

Where in TX, specifically, please? It's a big state.
DO NOT WORK FOR SHOP ANGELS!!!!!!
They don't pay you!! The instructions on the assignment are not clear at all and they use this to weasel their way out of payment to the shoppers who give up their time to complete these assignment. Melissa Miccaleff is an area manager for this group of clowns and she is a rude, nasty piece of work!! Don't waste your time!!
Sorry you've had to deal with this. I've only done one job for them and I was paid. They even paid me partially when I went to do a second shop at another location in the same mall. The employee from the shop I just left came in and I. discontinued the shop.

Welcome to the forum, disgruntled.shopper. Wow, you registered and only stayed 8 minutes, including the time to make your post above about Shop Angels. I hope you'll drop in again and introduce yourself in our Welcome area. Let us know how long you've been mystery shopping and why you are disgruntled. Do you shop for multiple companies or only for Shop Angels? Are you disgruntled in general with mystery shopping or just with your experience with Shop Angels? Please let us know some details about your negative experience with Shop Angels and with mystery shopping in general and maybe we can help you figure out why it went bad for you.

Having done multiple assignments for this company, I can say I find the reports the easiest of any company. I've always found their instructions to be clear, and they seem like really nice folks to me. They are such easy graders, I can't imagine not being paid for an assignment.

We do care and would love to help. Please let us know what the problem was that caused your non payment.

I have performed 32 shops for this MSC without incident. Easy graders? I didn't even know that they grade us. Where do you find these grades?

I have never seen any grades record of any "grade." I call them "easy graders" because I have never had a question or request for clarification - they accept everything as reported - for me and the 3 others I know who shop for them. I like that in an MSC.
I also have never seen any record of written "grades." I think of them as "easy graders" because I have never had a question or request for clarification - nor have the other shoppers I know who work with them - they accept reports as written. I like that in a MSC.
