AthPower Notary Job Issues

I did a notary job, and just received this message from ath Power:

"We are unable to use your shop or pay you for it. The Notary form is missing the line for the Notary to print their name. Please be sure that the document prints correctly before taking it to the location to complete the shop.
Thank you
ath Power"

I checked the guidelines attached to the specific notary job and the Notary form printed exactly how it is shown in the guidelines. It was not an error because of my printer. There was never a line for the printed name.

I contacted ath Power to inform them of this and to say I expect to get paid considering I completed the job exactly as provided and stated by them.

Anyone else experience this? What would you do?

ath is very specific about their forms, even if they are outdated. I did that shop and did not have any issues. A checking account shop I did recently had a funky form. They asked me to upload the correct one. I let them know that it no longer existed with the bank and that I uploaded the correct form. I was paid.

Seems with any Notary, it must be signed or why bother....too bad you can't bring document back and have Notary sign bottom.

Live consciously....
It was signed but the line for the *printed* name wasn't visible on my guidelines. It appeared there was something wrong it. They sent me an image of the page on their guidelines, and the line was there but it was lined up far to the right and apparently doesn't appear on some guidelines.

Ath Power has agreed to pay me for the job.

They're a good company and I always enjoy working for them. I hardly ever run into issues with them.
I had a similar issue with ath. It was not the same kind of shop, but they stated they could not use my report due to a technicality. There was nothing in the instructions that supported their statement. I was eventually paid, but in retaliation somebody made me the subject of a "secret evaluation" which meant that I was no longer eligible to evaluate for them, but I didn't know it. As a consequence, I wasted time applying for jobs that I had no chance of getting. I didn't find out about that until I had queried numerous people at ath. Finally, one of them told me about the secret deactivation (her words). She advised me that she didn't agree with such an action, but she could not get it reversed.

I contacted the heads of the company, including the founder as well as the COO, but they did not respond.

I would like to get them to state their rationale for their conduct on the record, but there is no chance of that.

I am an independent contractor, and ath was under no obligation to continue to do business with me. They could have notified me about the deactivation. Doing it secretly was simply a vindictive act. Some people have claimed that they do it to keep people from creating false accounts. That is absurd. One would have to create false bank accounts, SS numbers, Pay Pal accounts etc. in order to pull such a scheme off.

Oh well, live an learn.
