Views vs. Replies

Hi! I see people are viewing my post but not replying. Is there any way to know who viewed or know anything else? Thanks in advance!

Do you mean the many posts you have made on the Job Board? Shoppers don't reply to posts made on the Job Board. The Job Board is to announce jobs. You are able to see how many people viewed each post on the Job Board but you cannot track which particular person viewed it and you cannot know anything about the people who have viewed your posts..
Okay, that helps thank you. Do they have the possibility to message us here in the forum, correct? I ask because sometimes it is hard to know what is working and what is being seen since there is little to no interaction with my posts.

If you want folks to message you directly or write a response on the forum, you need to specify as such. Generally folks done respond directly to ads. Rather they go to the job board to request a shop.

Most ads will only interest a handful of folks. Yours will attract fewer. Some folks be turned off because they have no desire to enter a church. Others will be turned off because they have strong beliefs and will be turned off by the idea of shopping a church. Others will not respond because they already have Sunday commitments or choose not to work on Sundays..

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.

He's being honest. I understand that churches are businesses, but I cannot shop a church.

Thanks for the feedback! We know we are unique. The church has hired us because they want to know and get better so we are looking for individuals who regularly do not go to church to help the church see why. They really benefit and appreciate the feedback!

Agree with the others. I go to my own Church, and even if I don't think your customer's is the true church, I don't feel right shopping where others are trying to grow their faith. Good luck to you.

I personally find it ridiculous that churches are hiring MSCs and act like a business, while enjoying tax-free benefits. If they are going to act like a business, they should pay taxes like everyone else. /rant
I did one of these, and I can see how the report is helpful. It is honest feedback from someone who isn't going to say everything was "fine" or simply move on down the road. It is useful for a church to find out that no one greeted a visitor during the entire visit or that the nursery looked dark and dated. It's hard for the church to do its intended work if people don't stay around long enough to see it. I didn't feel bad about giving my input. That said, I definitely get why many people don't do these, as MF described.
Thanks for adding to the conversation. We can see why too!

Churches are businesses, regardless of their tax status. They grow their revenue by growing their membership.

Fascinating.

I wouldn't hesitate to shop a church, any day of the week, month, or year.

I can see where a person could be VERY uncomfortable at the idea.

However, the nearest to me is hundreds of miles away.
On this forum people tend to follow the lead of the tendencies of a few. Start a conversation. Ask a question.
To know why people want to do a specific assignment, or not to do that assignment, you would need a marketing degree, in the least. I agree that, on this forum at least, that it seems you need to specifically ask for feedback. Before I started posting, I read most of this entire forum's previous posts. There is a tendency of a few posters to be able to shut-down posts, or lead a topic in a specific direction, based on their ability to start controversy, where I didn't see controversy, based on 'their experience' and 'their experiences'. Have you signed up with the Facebook mystery shopping pages?

One company wrote what turned out to be a very controversial post about their mystery shopping company's dining assignments and their expectations of shoppers. Even though most dining shops pay in the form of reimbursement plus a $5 fee and expect proper grammar etc., the tone of the post caused many of the 'professional mystery shoppers' to scoff and retort negatively and some positively. The original poster didn't even seem to have to come back and give responses at all and the same posters just droned on about all sorts of reasons they would or would not do that shop causing more traffic to the post and I'm assuming to the company's website. That is one type of marketing campaign.

I suppose, but in this case I don't think the "any publicity is good publicity" adage holds true. Did anyone actually sign up with his company? Doubtful. He came in with an arrogant, condescending tone offering a pittance and trying to justify that meager compensation. Completely the opposite attitude of the FP poster. I would definitely do a shop for Faith Perceptions if there was one in driving distance.

"Let me offer you my definition of social justice: I keep what I earn and you keep what you earn. Do you disagree? Well then tell me how much of what I earn belongs to you - and why?” ~Walter Williams
Either that or he came in with the confidence and attitude that comes from success. Those qualities aren't appreciated as much as they should be, especially in lower tiers. Look at Chef Ramsey as an example; ballsy confidence that cannot be denied.
I did a church shop a couple months back and would do one again. There is one main thing holding me back— these shops show up on Gigspot for me, and that app does not offer a way to search for shops in other areas. I travel around quite a bit and it’s extremely annoying that I can’t view a map or search X miles from X city. All it shows me are shops within 50 miles of my home or something like that. The only way to see shops in other areas is by editing my profile to change my “home” zip code and location... but I have to google X city, then punch their zip code/info and change my profile, etc. It’s a hassle.
On Gigspot I can look up assignments in other cities. You just click on the hamburger in the upper corner and type in the zip code and the miles away from that zip code. The idea that Gigspot doesn't have that ability "seems pretty out there."
Maybe one day we will be closer. Where do you live?

Yes, that functionality is not ideal. You can always email us and ask if we have a shop in a certain zip code and we will gladly help you out. support@hendricksonba.com and 573-335-1760
