TrendSource’s major grocery chain Shops are not posting for my area for next weekend. I asked the scheduler they are working on the issue but they said that Thursday and still no post. Is this happening in other markets?

I don't know for sure but I'm guessing it's because they're revamping the program (see my topic "revamping grocery shops" ) I think they want to make sure that all the guidelines and certifications are ready to go before they offer shops.

I don’t see ANYTHING at all in my area from Trendsource.

Trying to learn from all of these rockstars.
There are normally tons of these grocery shops in my area and they haven’t posted any past 8/15.. I am guessing as stated above that they are held up releasing them for some reason...hopefully they will come back soon because I usually do 1-3 almost every weekend.
Few days ago there was a message on their home page saying they were revamping the program. Message is gone now, but that's probably why.
Where I live they have a dozen grocery shops listed for Aug 20-22. In my area they very seldom have any weekend shops, usually always during the week only for some reason.
Are you talking about the fart & smile grocery store shops? The same company that does the 90 second pizza shops also schedules for this chain. Check there.
They're now available for this weekend in my area. My favorite store is already gone though sad smiley. I also took the certification test and I don't see anything different from their past shops. I have to wonder if they had to postpone the changes?

They were posted late in my area too, but they are up now.

Moderator Note:

Forum guidelines state that we not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies. Also, naming the client and MSC may be an ICA violation.

Wouldn’t seemed surprised if we don’t any more competitor shops. They seem pointless and of little value to the client.
Irene. You need to edit your reply as it reveals the client in a thread about the MSC.
Sorry everyone, total brain freeze....
Trend's grocery's have been cut down, hardly seen any for this month, but they have tons of big box.

Not here in my area. I love Trendsource. Always plenty of shops that pay decent, not great but decent. They always pay on time several times a month. Hope it gets straightened out soon for you.
I went to do a shop for them on Friday. My scheduled time frame was the 16th-20th. When I arrived, the shop said the spread had not been met, so I sent two messages, then turned in the report as not being done. I had a small PAD on the shop, but now they aren't paying anything, when it wasn't my fault. They asked me to go to do the shop again. That would mean 140 miles for this one shop with a really small pad. I said I couldn't afford to do it again, which I can't. I was offered a partial pay on the first shop, if I would do the second shop. So... my word of warning, even though you are doing a shop you do on a regular basis, check before leaving home to insure the spread has been met, even if you are well within your assigned time frame. Gas isn't free. I don't work for free.

I had some similar experiences in my old area. They cancelled the shop and did not notify me. I only found out when I opened my log to double-check the scenario before going into the store...after I had driven over an hour to get there. Very upsetting and unprofessional.

In my new area, I have several locations that are practically right down the street, so I don't need PAD to do them. But I did not work with TS for several months before I moved for that reason.

The only thing I have ever seen are taking pictures of property. I get multiple emails daily from The Source about this.
I don't do much for TrendSource because their fees seem low to me. They don't have the grocery client in my area that many forum members shop for TrendSource. But I keep my eyes open because sometimes they get something I like. About 18 months ago, lasting for about a year, they had a pizza client, one of my favorites for a quick lunch or dinner. They ranged from phone-in and take-out a large pizza to dine in pizza buffet. I really liked that project.
They have plenty of grocery shops in my area...no change increase or decrease noticed yet.

They have sent me at least ten emails in 3 days. $12 + $5 ..... not even for my teenagers. That's way below minimum wage in CA.
They are really easy and I'll use em when I need to pick up a few items. So I may spend 15 buck on the products I need and the deli required for shop together. I've basically get my groceries free plus a couple bucks. Doesn't take more than 20-25 minutes.
I completed my first Trendsource national chain grocery assignment in July of 2006. The pay at that time was $5 + $9 reimbursement. Today, in my area of Ohio, it is $5 + $9 reimbursement, but, inflation has reduced the true amount, according to the U.S. Inflation Calculator, to a total of $11.50. In addition, I can, and do, purchase the $9 in food from Aldi's for approximately $6. Finally, the report form is considerably longer than in 2006. That the MSC is successful in filling these jobs, is a testament to their creative ,marketing and/or shoppers being desperate for work.
I agree it could be a little higher pay or shorter survey but I dont mind any help towards groceries so I'll do them. I dont do a lot just mainly when I need a few things and there's a shop available that do. Plus, I know I'll get paid.

I think in 2006 they had us use a cart and place a big item on the bottom. That item whatever it was, usually ate up half or more of the reimbursement because big items cost more. I hated that because one can only use so much pet food & toilet paper.
The requirements only say you have to be in the store for 30 minutes and input time is about 15 minutes. That is $17.00 for 45 minutes work, how much is the minimum wage in California?
