ath power $250 credit card shops

There are a ton of these for self-assign, has anyone ever done one? You have to go to either a golf cart place or lawn mower place, open a credit card, and charge at least $200, which you can later return. I’m wondering if this is an easy $250, or a huge hassle. Does anyone have any feedback?

I don't see that one, but I've done a similar shop and the report is fairly easy. It's mostly up to you as to how much you value a hard credit inquiry. I personally usually like at least $300, but I have gotten up to $1200 in value from bonuses in opening a credit card (not mystery shopping). In my case, I double dipped with a bonus of the client for opening a credit card and the shop fee from Ath, and it was worth it to me. Some credit card companies will not let you open a new card if you've opened 3 or more of any kind of card in the last 2 years, so I pick my card openings very carefully and make sure it's worth it to me.
I have done one and my husband has also done one. It isn't hard, but you do have to be sure to upload all of the documentation that they want. With both of our shops, we didn't return the item we purchased, we got a nice lawn mower and a leaf blower. I don't know I would have done it if I was going to return the item. It just happened to be things that we needed to get anyway.
Yes, some of the stores in my area only sell commercial lawn equipment that is priced $1,000 or more. Other stores don't carry the particular finance company that they want you to use on your purchase, so if you make the purchase and the store uses a different bank to finance your purchase, you are out that money as Ath will not reimburse you. Or, if you are successful in obtaining the proper financing and decide to return the purchase, some stores will charge you a restocking fee.
I did this shop. Bought the item, submitted the reports....somewhat on going for a month or so...and when all was done returned the item...$250 was in my pocket. I asked before purchasing if I could return/or return policy and followed their policy. I felt it was easy and would do more but only one is allowed. sad smiley
