Servimer response time

This morning I realized that I hadn't been paid for a Servimer shop that was due about a month ago. I sent an e-mail and the money was in my Paypal account about 15 minutes later. I am impressed!

Servimer is probably the most well-managed MSC I've ever worked with. Every other small MSC should take a page.

I totally agree with Hoju, Servimer is very responsive and easy to deal with. Even better they pay on time and they pay their shoppers above average rates for their work.
I can certify to that. By far my favorite MSC in terms of reliability and transparency. I have done shops for them every month that I have been in the US for about 3 years (or more?) and pay is like clockwork. If a mistake is made, the fix is quick.

I've never worked for them, although I have tried on several occasions (just no the right shops available in the right place at the right time). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them (and have 2 or 3 times). I would, however, prefer seeing a bit more disclosure in this thread as I'm fairly certain 1 or 2 posters in this thread have relationships with this company that go beyond traditional shopper-MSC.

My relationship certainly isn't anything more than that of a traditional MSC-contractor.

I have sometimes publicly recruited for Servimer, as I do for a very small number of less well known MSCs. But, I am an IC and also not a scheduler or editor. I only recruit for MSCs that have similarly good records of how they treat shoppers, as BG well knows. And I am VERY picky about which MSCs I accept any assignments from.

For BG, I am a shopper with Servimer and an Independent Contractor. I do not receive a salary or benefits.

Wait. That's an option??

Shopper AND an IC?
I'll be direct. It's my understanding you are or were a Servimer scheduler. Perhaps I am wrong?

It's not a big deal to me honestly, I just think if someone works for a company in a way that is beyond just a shopper they should either note that when discussing that company or not do it. But that's just me and I could be wrong.

i agree Servimer is a good company, although they don't have shops that interest me so I don't work for them. I also get bgriffin"s point and agree. I definitely don 't think he's wrong. Any relationship, past or present, regardless of how long ago it may have been, with an MSC beyond accepting mystery shopping assignments, should be disclosed by a poster who is posting positive or negative information or giving an endorsement for the company. walesmaven's disclosure that she has recruited for them is good and should be noted with an endorsement. Any Servimer endorsement from BarryC should note that he previously scheduled assignments for them.
My endorsement, however, is without askterisk and arguably the most valuable of all! winking smiley

We have had an unofficial official policy of employees disclosing. I have never seen a case where it was also supposed to include former employees. For example, JASFLMT has previously stated she was an editor for several companies, yet does not include it every time she posts about the companies because the relationship ended years ago. From my perspective, I've read wales recruiting for them so often, it just seems like common knowledge. I realize that may not be the case for everyone.

I guess my attitude is this. If we are going to include any and all former associations, we should just all be on the same page. Whichever way we go makes no difference to me. I'm just coming down on the side of consistent policies. Meanwhile, being asked about associations is nothing anyone should get in a huff about.

I think anyone who posts on a thread about a company, making positive or negative statements or giving an endorsement of the company, should disclose any activity with that company beyond working as a mystery shopper with that company. This statement is not, and was not directed as a criticism of walesmaven, who readily disclosed that she had recruited for Servimer.

I don't think all associations need to be disclosed at all times, only those that relate directly to a company about which a forum member is making a comment. Getting huffy over being asked about an association with a company after making a recommendation of the company confuses me. Is there some shame in having scheduled for Servimer?

JMHO, but I personally tend to believe in over-disclosure rather than the possibility of the perception of deception.
Exactly my feeling as well.

Lots of folks pitched in very BRIEFLY to help out when Servimer tripled in size over about a 16 month period, but I do not think that nay of them helped out for more than a couple of months, and, as far as I know, were NOT employees!
BG, you may just have caused a top notch shopper to become so disgusted that he is leaving the forum. Proud of yourself?

I am, honestly, as unconcerned as I possibly could be about both a shopper deciding to leave this forum because he got pissy at a question and your insinuating that I am in the wrong for asking the question.

If Barry C feels it's such terrible BS that he was questioned about his relationship with Servimer, it may be because he feels it's obvious that there was deception in his posts. If he decides to leave, up to him,

Can someone define past few years? I don't know how many months Barry scheduled for Servimer, but Barry was scheduling Servimer shops in January 2017 which is only last year so Barry's response "not for the past few years" is simply not true. The BS is that the forum would be expected to put up with deception without asking questions. And, walesmaven, friendship is friendship, but drop the guilt trip. Making it bgriffin's fault that Barry is deceptive and pissy about getting caught in it is major BS.
I think that Servimer's response time is outstanding. Whenever I submit reports, I usually get a response the very next day on what went right, and what went wrong (sometimes). I usually get this email from Scott. Its rare for me to get a 24 hour response time on a submitted report.

No need to take it personally. It's business.

I think that if someone has stopped working for a company and still gives a great review, it weights heavier than the random shopper posting. Some are assuming Barry C was/is a scheduler or editor. What if he is doing tech work or sales or data entry or cleaning their office as an IC? What if last year he helped out for a short time to get some shops scheduled by recruiting but not hired on as a scheduler? That does not make him an employee or jaded in his view. Why is it so often that some people here try to find the worst in everything?
I don't know that anyone was trying to find the worst in anything at all in this thread. It seems some people got their panties in a wad over absolutely nothing and then decided to get pissy and "leave." Also, I was not "assuming" Barry was a scheduler. I had email correspondence with him where he attempted to schedule me for shops. He was a scheduler. There was no assuming. He had a servimer email address. What I don't understand is why he didn't just reply to my post with "I used to schedule for them but don't anymore" instead of being all cryptic. Is there some secret code that says if you used to schedule for them you can't admit it after you don't schedule for them anymore? I don't get it. I knew he used to schedule for them, I haven't contacted them in a couple of years because I tried for a good 18 months to schedule work with them and wasn't successful so I gave up. As far as I knew he still worked for them. Instead of being cryptic and getting pissy there were MANY other options.

I really don't care either way, but to me "done" means, "I'm taking my ball and going home." It's the same as saying, "I'm out of here."
Bgriffin, I found nothing cryptic or pissy as you say. I guess some people do not think everything is YOUR business. Unwritten, unofficial rules do not make it a required rule. But, this from your post does make it a little clearer as to why you were so persistent. "I knew he used to schedule for them, I haven't contacted them in a couple of years because I tried for a good 18 months to schedule work with them and wasn't successful so I gave up."

Socalmam, I took his posting of being done as being done with attitude and questions. It appears we have lots of different ways to look at being done.
