Yesterday I received a pleading email begging for a shopper to do a shop about 30 minutes from me in the middle of nowhere. The email was addressed to ME. My name was in the salutation. The shop paid $25 with a bonus of $25 making it a $50 shop, which is a lot for me in my area. I immediately shot back an email saying that I was out of rotation, but if that restriction could be lifted, I could do the shop today. I received a response saying that was no problem and that the shop was in my log.
So today I do the shop. GeoVerified at 1:30 PM before I walked in the door. The shop took almost 40 minutes. When I left, I continued on to another shop an hour away in the opposite direction and got home around 4:10. Checked my email before starting my report and found an email received at 3:47 canceling the shop because I'd done the shop less than nine months ago. The shop had been removed from my shop log along with the ability to report it.
A flurry of texts, emails, and proof of shop has been sent and received. The scheduler's last email said that she was kicking it up the chain to her boss to see what they say.
So what do you folks think? Should I get the full $50 if I'm allowed to do the report? Should I get a partial fee if I don't have to complete the report? Has this ever happened to you with this company? If I had open an email received at say 10:00 AM canceling the shop, I'd've been disappointed but, oh well life happens. But after the fact? That's a lot of money, like 1/8th of my monthly payments so far.
