Could not complete assignment and canceled late.

Hi everyone
I scheduled a shop for today and left to go there about 45 minutes before they closed. That would have given me a half hour normally to do the shop but there were two fires along the same street. The roads were filled with emergency responders and there were traffic blocks. I ended up getting there a minute after closing time. I went home and canceled the assignment a half hour later. Am I going to be deactivated?

If this is Marketforce, did you email helpdesk and explain? Were there no other dstes available to reschedule?
If possible, reschedule rather than cancel.

You can e-mail helpdesk (if MF) and ask them to reschedule it; just explain that you cancelled in error, and what happened.

If a different MSC, contact your scheduler, or e-mail the company.
Thank you for the replies. It is marketforce and I did email to explain. I couldn’t reschedule because there was no option other than “cancel.”
If you're fairly new to Marketforce, it's best to shoot help-desk an e-mail and explain what happened. I usually just say "please reschedule for a later date. If you cannot reschedule it, please cancel." What happens when you cancel is that it immediately goes out to be rescheduled with another shopper, but the help desk can often reschedule even if no reschedule dates are showing on the site.
I would have taken pictures of the fire trucks and roadblocks. I would have sent them to MF, not cancelled and let MF decide to manually reschedule you. A picture is worth a 1,000 words. smiling smiley
