Like them quite well. They have a sandwich shop in my area. It doesn't pay a lot but they are a nice group of people at the MSC, the guidelines are well-written, and the report was not hard.
They have great support from the schedulers, too. I love working with them and they are among my top 5 list. I think you will really enjoy them. Good luck!

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
They are the only company who has ever complained when I needed to reschedule due to weather.
Their payments are consistently 15 days past their stated payment terms.
They are the only company who has ever tried to remove me from their system because their scheduler tried to call in the 5 days my home phone was cut off while I was moving even though I was in constant email contact.
They are one of the few companies I've ever had problems pre assigning me a large group of shops.
They are one of the few companies that has ever outright complained when they asked how much I needed to do a last minute shop and I told them.

Basically if you take a few shops off the job board, never need a bonus, and never have a reason to reschedule they're great.

Having said that. There are friendly people who work there. I have actually received the same bonus I asked for for the same shop since then. They always pay even 15 days late. And I think the hard to get along with scheduler has since left or been reassigned from shops I do. And they have 1 shop that I love doing and do as often as I can.

I have completed in excess of 500 shops for SR since the owner departed another MSC and formed Strategic. I have never had a single problem either scheduling or being paid. Best of all, for me that is, they have an 866 number that is very rarely not answered by a human. In addition, the head of the editing dept. could not possibly be more accommodating. Three thumbs up for the folks in Cincinnati, their home office city.
Wow. Your payments come at the beginning of the month like they're supposed to instead of the 15-18th???

They have been my bread and butter since they got a client in my area. I love them! I wish I could self-assign more shops as I could easily do 20 of the 30 shops advertised. But they've been great when I've needed more time to get the shops done due to weather or car problems. And I've gotten half the pay as a bonus when I helped them out at the end of a month with shops that were in the middle of nowhere.
Griff inquired of a portion of Bob's comment--Wow. Your payments come at the beginning of the month like they're supposed to instead of the 15-18th???

Bob's original statement--I have never had a single problem either scheduling or being paid.

Bob's reply--Griff, I stand by my original post, as I do not have a problem with when I am paid.
Ah, so your payments are late like everyone else's, you just don't care?

I'm personally not a stickler for payments. I've just noticed in general companies that don't pay on time or have extremely long payment terms tend to be harder to get along with and have other problems as well. To me it's a sign of how a company is run more than it is a desire to get paid exactly when it's due.

There is one Client that SR has that I will do when it is available in my area. I have never been paid late. However, the pay schedule for this Client is the middle of the month AFTER the month the shop is done. So if I do the shop, say, anytime at all in Sept, the check is not mailed until the middle of November. Having said that, I know the terms up front, and find the shop/fee worth the wait. My checks for that Client have never been late, and the MSC sends out an email as to when the checks have been mailed.

That has not been my experience at all. I have twice had to reschedule due to snow. Where I live, snow causes the entire area to shut down. Both times I got feedback about how they were never supposed to reschedule shops but she would do it but I absolutely had to get the shop done that day "or else."

Both times the other MSCs I had shops for on those routes were more concerned that I rescheduled the shops too soon and it would still be dangerous for me to go there.

They only have seem to have one client in my area, a movie theater shop which I do every chance I get. Wish there were more shops in my immediate area.

I had a talk with Jennifer from SR yesterday because I noticed that the shop dates for this client, after being the 10th of the month, was suddenly shortened to the 4th. It seems they have a large number of shoppers who self-assign large numbers of shops for the last possible due date, then on that date, ask for extensions, then cancel causing end-of-the-month headaches for the schedulers. I said that was too bad, but was assured it did not apply to me, because I have NEVER canceled a shop and only asked for minimal extensions and always got them done, whether it was snow or a car with a wonky transmission. It probably also helps that I take those last minute scramble jobs without asking for large bonuses.
