How much work are these?

you will need pictures of the station from afar two views of the main sign, an overall view of the station. two views of the canopy from opposite sides but you meed all sides in the pictures. a pix of the pumps and pix of any problems that you find. Two receipts one from the pump that is paid at the pump and one from inside that you paid cash for if less than $5. Need the name of the clerk/attendant how many are on duty in uniform, And other stuff. I would recommend that you do at least one. See if you like it. The Audits are more involved than the mystery shop but they are not all that bad. They even give you a cheat sheet in the paperwork. Sometimes they change from one location to the other and usually from one at the same location a few months later.
Thanks.

They're up to $12 here, and I'm looking at one that would make a nice filler one day this week.

In my opinion they aren't worth the 8-10 offered in my area.

If this is the first time doing this shop..about how long does it take and do they allow for weekends and multiple shops in one day? I would like to try one and if I like them maybe do a bunch in one day..would be be nice to use these as fillers on the slower weeks..

Shopping Idaho and Oregon/Idaho border region.
Dawn, I've done hundreds of these. I always allow about 40 minutes for the audit (much less, about 15 minutes, for the mystery shop alone). You can do as many a day as you can get to (I have personally done 7 or 8 in one day). For Marketforce, I like that they reimburse the relatively tiny gas purchase, and a small amount for the required "inside" purchase, and the guidelines are straight-forward and the reports are basically simple.

I would recommend printing out the guidelines in full for the first one, just so you don't miss some critical item. You might want to start with just the mystery shop ones, and do the audits later, after you're more familiar with them.
Where I live there are never many of these close by. Even then, I have picked one up at a higher fee or used the make-an-offer feature. They are straightforward. The audits will always be worth waiting for any higher fee. If the mystery shop is not out of your way, try it. I concur, the full guidelines as a master sample are always helpful for that first time. I will always check guidelines for updates, but unless really needed, I do not necessarily replace them. Often the things that are changed are not worth the reprint, especially with all of the details with any gas station. Once you get familiar with them, it can become second nature, like so many others from this MSC.
I can get in and out in about 15 minutes. However, I'm in NJ and a lot of the locations are stations with no store, just gas. YMMV
I love the mystery shop ones with no store. I have to stretch it to make 5 minutes on site. Easiest of the gas stations I do. The audits, however, are a different matter.

The mystery shop is SO easy!! I have done three in the last week and they took about 10-15 and the report about the same. Super easy! The hardest for me is getting a pic of the whole gas station. I just walk across the street and take it.
