JM Ridgeway

I'm not trying to negate what the OP says, but for some balance on the topic, I love JM Ridgeway. I like the jobs they offer, pay is fair, Nikki is one of my favorite schedulers, and Frank is to the point, but he has made helpful comments to me, and gone the extra mile a couple of times to make a shop work.

I just performed a shop for JMRidgway that said this: "Thurs/Fri/Sat ONLY after 6 pm. Take-out pizza shop. READ the guidelines.
Walk-in and place an order for a small pizza OR any entrée of your choice to
EAT THERE. "

I e-mailed my scheduler to clarify whether this was take-out or to eat there. She forwarded my e-mail to Frank and Scott, and Scott responded with, "As guidelines state, get it to go." I felt it was a tad condescending, because the guidelines stated this was take out to eat there, hence why I was asking. I couldn't help myself but to reply all with a screenshot of the conflicting instructions lol.

Weird. I did that shop a few months ago, and I was supposed to eat it there.
Well I'm glad I clarified, and saved the email from Scott who said to "get it to go" grinning smiley

Look at the questionnaire and see if there are questions about food delivery and check backs. That should help.
Thanks so much for sharing this. I also had a horrible experience with this company and had no idea that there are people we can reach out to if the MSC isn't doing the right thing. My dealings were with Frank, I also found him to be rude and condescending. (Based on the replies here, I wonder how many years they have been able to get away with what they do.) Many of my shops were rejected due to conflicting instructions or simply guidelines that he made up after I shopped, that weren't listed in the guidelines beforehand. Before I shopped for this company there were a ton of warning signs that I ignored, but not going to delve into that now.

Shopping Idaho and Oregon/Idaho border region.
I've been with JM Ridgeway since 2007, and have been fortunate to have Nikki A (not sure if she schedules for them anymore) followup on any non-payment issues. However, if there is one lesson that I've learned, its this:

Never respond to an email from Frank.

I had received feedback from him regarding the PDF report (client's request) that you are supposed to upload to the primary site. The email wasn't exactly pleasant, and I wound up deferring to my scheduler, who in turn, politely smacked my hand with a wet noodle due to responding to Frank.

Long story short, follow the lead from your scheduler, rather than the owner's son.

I have done many pizza shops for JMR -- for different clients. What you quoted appears to be for Client X.

In my experience, Client X only has delivery and take out shops. There are no dine in shops.

For the take out shop, you are supposed to place a dine in order (assuming the restaurant actually has a dining room). Then, you are supposed to change your dine in order to a take out order. You can say your partner just texted you, you don't realize how late it is, etc. There is an explanation in the instructions of why you must do it as a take out shop. You have to take pictures, and JMR (or the client) does not want you to take pictures in the restaurant.

Are we talking the same chain? As far as I know, Client X only has two SoCal locations. Were you traveling?

So am I. I think we're talking about the same client.

BTW, they updated the shop guidelines for the client -- perhaps thanks to you? smiling smiley
"Simply stop in, place an order for a pizza OR any entrée of your choice to go."

MUCH better.

Hopefully! It was completely contradicting!

No, but if it's the one in Sac, I think you order it for there and "Change your mind" and get it to go?

It looks like they have at least 3 pizza restaurants with confusing guidelines.

JMR has LOTS of shops with confusing/contradictory instructions. One of the problems JMR often has is it tries to use the the same SASSIE form for different shops, is lousy at making sure the questions/instructions on the form itself make sense, and doesn't provide separate shop guidelines. I'm just glad someone there is finally making an effort to improve.
really? lol I bet he would change his tune as soon as I reported him to the FBI'S WEBSITE FOR INTERNET FRAUD.
