This is INSANE! There is NO "refund" option on the transaction details! How many payments did they send in error? Why should we all have to take time out of our lives for their mistake? Whoever did this needs to pay us for our time. I have already spent far too long trying to get the payments back to them. I guess I will have to see if I can get it fixed tomorrow.
Ridiculous!
I've had no problems with them in the past, but they need to fix this themselves. Their the ones who messed up. I sent them an e-mail telling them there's no refund button and it's up to them to fix the problem. They can just ask PayPal to refund the money. I got 12 payments, which ones do they want back?
I have had the same frustration trying to get a refund button. Paypal's automated email sent me a crap response that had no bearing. I'm with the rest of the naysayers. I will leave the money in Paypal and wait for Intellishop to get their @#$%& together. Somebody in the payment center just bought themselves a nice place in the unemployment line.
This is going to be one long thread. Real fast.

I am gong to stick my pay in a high interest bearing account and let it earn until the PP issue is fixed.

Edited due to thumbs.

I have tried every suggestion in this thread (after spending time trying to figure it out on my own and accessing PayPal Help). I do not have a refund button.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
@myst4au it's not just you. My son is an IT professional and couldn't find it either...despite saying there is ALWAYS a refund button. It just isn't there for some reason.
I sent IntelliShop and email saying that I don't have a button. Now the onus is on IntelliShop to tell me what to do. I offered to email an screenshot to prove that it isn't there. They can't say that I didn't try, or that I ignored them.

For what it's worth, an attorney once told me that if you cash a check knowing you were overpaid, you are liable. Not sure if PP is treated the same, and YMMV depending on which state you call home, but I would advise all of us to either leave it in PP or do like @nslinhar and put the money in a separate (preferably high-yield) account and sit on it until this is resolved.
Major screwups do occasionally happen. I am on a merchandising route right now that has gone sideways every way possible, affecting almost everyone on the project. We are actually 10 days past the original due date, and I still won't be home until Saturday at the earliest.

But yeah, I think this payroll thing is a screwup that's orders of magnitude beyond even the route from hell.
" if you have payments pending, we cannot “credit” this accidental payment against that; we need you to refund it, and then we will issue the actual payment. This will allow both of us to maintain “clean” records of the transactions.".....so they want ALL the money back, even the money you're owed.
Watch them hold everyone's payments hostage until every single person returns their money. I'm interested to see when we actually do end up getting paid, considering the 20th is their official pay date in their pay policy, with the stipulation of the pay date falling on a holiday, which it doesn't in this case.

I bet if we had a shop with them due on the 20th and we failed to submit it until the 21st, they wouldn't be too happy about that.

How many incorrect payments do we think went out? 10,000????
How are they going to collect that all back? They are insane.

I hope someone is going to be working overtime to fix this considering Thanksgiving is tomorrow.
wow. another blunder its not first time for them. they paid me fees from a prior month again. I knew it was wrong the minute I saw a three figure payment sitting in paypal from intelli. There is no refund option as their email from owner said. They will need to think of something else. In the meantime they are holding my real pay hostage.
It worked on my phone but not on my PC. In details I tapped the name Intellishop and it took me to a new page of itemized shops. It is not easy to get to. Keep trying.

"I am in understanding of your error. I will issue a refund on my next Paypal processing day of the 15th of next month."
(My would-be sarcastic answer)
Thank you. This link worked! I don't get it because when I signed in to PayPal it wouldn't work, yet when I used this link, it worked.
If you read the e-mail they sent out, not only do they want the money you're not owed, they want ALL the money they sent you. Any money you are owed, they will credit your account LATER!!!!
okay just got it done. I clicked on the name 'intellishop' and was taken to a page with a loooong list of payments. Clicked on each individual amount and was taken to refund option. It took about 30 minutes since they sent me many payments. Of course I am still waiting for my october pay.

Lets see how quickly they get out the Oct. payments. I have a feeling it might not be until Dec.
I just spoke with someone at Intellishop. They said because of a glitch in the system shoppers were sent September payments for October payments. However, I did not get any payment at all and did have shops in September. She said no one would be paid until it was resolved even the people who did not have to refund money. She added I was lucky I did not get paid.

Looking at the amounts, it was for August shops, not September (at least, for my account, the funds sent matched August shops). Which really makes you wonder how/why this happened?

The big question is, say enough people are slow to return the money (or just sit on it out of either fear or greed) - does Intellishop go under? That doubly screws over the people that were owed funds but returned them in good faith. But if enough people hold the funds either because we can't figure out how to refund through PayPal, or people are nervous about them going under and not getting paid at all, then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Saying "no one would be paid until it is resolved" is certainly NOT the appropriate response. If that is the attitude, it means just one person not refunding the money would hold up everyone's payment - and I'm sure many others would then sit on the funds.

As Intellishop knows, in the business world, if you have a dispute with Business X, you don't hold Business Y's (and every other business!) funds.

I'm witholding funds not because I can't figure it out. I'm simply not refunding because the process is not working. Big difference.
I was able to complete the refunds, thanks to some help in this thread. What a pain, but it is not right to keep money sent in error. It seems like Intellishop has been having accounting issues for a long time... starting with sending each shop as a separate payment each month.
They want you to send ALL the money back. Even the money you're owed for shops done. They said they will credit your account LATER. Sure, how much later?
Why can't IntelliShop just contact PayPal and say the money was sent in error and request the money be returned? Why is it up to us to correct their mistake?
