I received an email saying " name your bonus" for a car dealership shop. It seemed like an easy shop, no test drive. It was for a higher end vehicle. I asked for a 25.00 bonus on top of the 20.00 shop pay and the scheduler said " Yes, you got it".
Flash forward to California Wildfires and I could not get back to my town because the freeway was closed. I emailed and said that I could do it in a couple of days. She said " Sure, no problem, totally understandable about the fires". When it was reassigned, the bonus was gone.
I said that I was not going to do it without the bonus. I was asked to forward the emails regarding the bonus. I did that. I was then told the scheduler was not authorized to offer that bonus. Oh well. She did and I accepted.
I went back and forth with Dina from the company and she would not budge. So, I deactivated my account. I don't need the work that much and I won't work with a company that won't honor their "promise".
