Maritz non reveal gas shops? Please answer ASAP..on my way shortly to do the shops..

I don't currently have access to my computer and for some reason I have a heck of a time getting my phone to pull up Maritz guidelines. This is for the 5.00 to 6.00 non reveal gas shops..Questions I have are

what if receipt at the pump won't print, or the reader says pay inside after swiping your card? (This has happened to me on previous gas shops with other MSCs).

And if you have to pay for gas inside due to the above mentioned issues

Is it okay to have the gas purchase and inside product purchase on the same receipt or do they need to be on separate receipts?

Thanks so much...

1. Pump Receipt won't print: Go inside and ask the station attendant to print one for you.
2. IF you have to pay for gas inside: Do so. Make a note in the report that the pump was not accepting payment. One of the things you are doing is evaluating whether or not the pump is working properly.
3. I have never had the gas and product purchase on the same receipt. It may not be possible for the CSR to do that as the front register and gas pumps are on different systems.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Thanks alot for the quick reply...very appreciated

If you have to pay inside for gas it must be on a separate receipt and is NOT the time you evaluate the CSR. Pay and pump the gas first then go back in and conduct the inside portion.
If you use the same payment card at multiple stations the gas company will stop your card. One card is only good for one or two, maybe three uses, depending on the card, per brand. The pump message would tell you to see cashier or pay inside.

I use a Samsung phone with Firefox which will absolutely not open any Maritz files. The download shows an Android icon and will not open. But if I go to the native Samsung internet and go to Maritz it will download and open files perfectly. Hope that helps.
Thanks to all of you..all these shops today went well..had no idea it was the gas station that makes the machine say pay inside..good to know for next time

If you already do the reveal for that brand, non-reveal will not show for you. Or, of course, there are none in your area. I do the non-reveal and never even knew, for years, that there was a reveal until a scheduler called asking me to do one then realized I was not allowed to when I told her I do no-reveal.
@sestrahelena,

Thats interesting..I guess that would make sense, but it would nice if they would say that expicitly in their guidelines. What if someone just wanted to do a couple non reveal and eventually do reveal or audits.

I don't, but someone might lol.

How much do the "non-reveal" pay? Meaning - what is the actual pay, and what is the reimbursement maximum for gasoline and (if required) the C-store maximum purchase?
For instance, for the "Blue" gas stations, the pay is $12.50, the gasoline max is $5.00 and the C-store is $1.00 max.
Best tip that I got here was to buy a gasoline gift card in advance.

I buy mine at Ralph's (Kroger). Then your card won't lock up, you get your miles/point from your credit card, you get the cash not credit price and nobody can skim your credit card number at the pump.
@French Farmer
It should be be listed on maritz for your area
@SoCalMama
Thats a great tip..really lose my focus when the card reader won't take my card.

I was wondering because there are none for my area. But nevermind.
@French Farmer I looked all over the map a while back and saw some cheap non-reveal in the south, around the FL panhandle if I’m remembering correctly.

How do you get the credit card points? By buying the gift card with it?
If you have to pay inside the receipts should show this and no problem. I have had kiosk shops that have not printed receipts I have taken a picture of the pump showing the amount and also sent a picture of debit card purchase from my bank website. Make sure to note this in the comments but I have never had any trouble getting paid for it or the shop rejected
I do this for the yellow station here in CO for as mentioned in this post that they will only allow you to do two purchase perr card on debit and credit card. Gift cards work well until the computer system goes down. Had this happen to me in Utah it was a good thing I had more then One debit card and charge card with me for I had 8 shops to do that day

@dawnhu I hate when I can't access the guidelines for whatever reason! I usually will save all of my upcoming shop guidelines to DropBox, which I have installed on my computer and phone, and then usually have much better luck accessing them. I will also sometimes pull them up on my phone at home and either "print" them as a .pdf file or take a screenshot of them, just in case.
Maritz gas and store purchases require separate receipts. If the receipt does not print at the pump, simply go inside and ask the clerk for a duplicate.

Yes. I buy a $100 gas card with my airline cc at the grocery store. Gets me 100 points.
I like to keep southwest hovering around 100,000 points.

Nice! Thanks.
Honestly, even better is that it's about 10 cents a gallon cheaper to use a gift card than a credit card.
The gas is so overpriced. It's 20-50 cents more a gallon than ARCO (BP) or Costco.
There's a place by my work that is $2.94 a gallon. This gas is $3.50 and up in most locations.
When filling out the invoice..do we put just the amount of inside product purchase or gas purchase too?

Sum the total and enter into box. There's a place to note what it was, and I put "gas/merch" or something to that effect.
