Mystery Shoppers, Inc Holding Checks

Anyone else do shops with Mystery Shoppers, Inc based out of Knoxville, TN? I've done 5 shops with them the past 5 months and each time I have to call them two months later to tell them the check never came. Their website shows a check was cut about a month after the shop was done. I noticed when I received the 3rd check for the 3rd job (after sending them an email a month after they said it was cut and would reissue a check) that the date on the check was from the month prior. Same thing with the 4th check and now 5th check. Anyone else notice they are holding checks and not sending until you say something? Not a very ethical business procedure. Probably going to call the Better Business Bureau for TN and log a complaint. Though it won't do much, it'll make me feel better.

Most MSCs don't care one bit about the BBB, since its main function has little to do with payments.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I got paid in January for a shop I did in October. That was my last shop for them.

I was sent an email by a scheduler for this company last week asking me to perform a shop in my area. I joined, applied for and was assigned the shop which is due in a couple of weeks. I should have vetted them here first. I'm still new to mystery shopping, but have successfully completed shops for Intellishop and BestMark over a 2 year period. Would cancelling the shop now negatively affect my reputation with other MSCs, Sassie, JobSlinger or MSPA Americas ?
@greenelight2go, it might. Schedulers often work for more than one MSC, and they do communicate amongst themselves. If it was me, it would depend on the shop as to my next step. If there is a large capital outlay that you would have a hard time living without for a few months, I would explain it to my scheduler that way and cancel as soon as possible, giving them time to find someone else. If there was no purchase involved, or a minimal one, I would go ahead an do the shop and make sure I followed up on the payment if it drags out.

I completed four assignments for them in January. Towards the end of February, I sent an email asking for their pay schedule. I was told that the money would be sent via PayPal on March 1st. Here it is , 3/6 and I called into the office. The person that answered the phone stated that the money would be released tomorrow. I feel like I am getting the run around. Has anyone had any success in getting the newly implemented PayPal payments?
I completed a shop on Feb 15th. The shop is labeled PAID ON: 04/10/19 My mailing address is correct and verified. I have selected PayPal as my preferred method of payment and provided my correct PayPal email address. The Shopper Agreement states: MSI currently disburses a client’s payment for any completed project at the end of the month following the month in which the project is completed, and all payments are issued by check and sent via the USPS. I understand that not updating my address in my profile could cause a delay in my receipt of a client payment. MSI is not currently utilizing Paypal. Did you ever receive your payment, Nterry777?
This is a common what shall we call interesting accounting method used by mystery shopping companies with the sole purpose of letting the worker bees know that their pay is coming. Of course no real financial transaction has taken place yet. The only thing that has been done is that you have been notified of the projected date you will be paid.
Well, they are officially late and this will be my first chase ever. Any advice, Niner
They used to pay like clockwork. I haven't worked for them for over a year but I'm sorry to hear this. I liked this company.
