Blue Station Canopy and Perimeter Lights Question

I just debriefed a blue station. It came back with a hold due to no picture of the canopy and perimeter lights being off. I marked the answer as "The lights are on a timer and sensor."
The editor is requesting a photo of these infractions. How is that fair to the client? I even wrote that in the internal comments section Now I'm getting a second request from a different editor. Apparently, they do not read the notes in the internal comments section.

I would just send an extra shot of something like the overall that shows a part of the canopy with the lights off.
That's what I ended up doing. I still think it is wrong. The editor must be new...or stupid.

The editor is neither new nor stupid. I've done hundreds of "blues" in the last several years and taking a picture of the underside of the canopy is what has been required for at least the last two years. It may not make sense to us but it is what the client requires and has requested. Nothing new and certainly nothing stupid, unless one considers giving the client what they want stupid.
I have never taken a photo of the underside of the canopy unless there is an infraction. Not being able to turn on the lights because they are on a timer is not an infraction.

Unless you have never submitted a "No" answer or, if you have not done these shops in the past you should be aware of this (required photo).
It really doesn't matter about "our" opinion on these questions. I once made what I thought was a good suggestion to a supervisor. I could hear the impatience in her voice when she gave her short, no nonsense answer of why I was wrong.
So, strange as it sounds, these are required photos. You shall find in the Primary Collection Form that a "No" answer will require a photo.

My suggestion is to do a "preview" of the shop before going out on your first day's round of shops. Its easy and a sure way to keep you informed of pertinent questions and correct photos.
If lights are on timers or sensors and the attendants are not able to turn them on, I snap a photo of at least one pole lamp, if out, and the underside of the canopy. It's what has always been required for that answer. We may think it's dumb to show the lights are really off, but apparently they don't.

French Farmer is correct. A no answer requires a photo. In this case a shot of the canopy lights and pole lights is needed. MsJudi has the answer - a shot of the underside if the canopy and a shot of a perimeter light. Take a look at your overall shot. The chances are you can zoom and crop and submit both pictures. I have done this in the past when I forgot to take the required shots and the shop was accepted.
I have a spot on my worksheet/cheatsheet that says "photo of canopy if not lit" and another that says, "photo of perimeter light if not lit". Next to each is a space that I must check that either this was done or that it was not needed.
It works for me anyway.

BTW, today the temperature finally broke above zero! Yay!
