Kss International/Sassie

i received a Priority Mail envelope with a check and a letter requesting me to do this job for this company KSS International(Kern Scheduling through the Sassie platform. I remember signing up with them but then I forgot I did and went back to check on them and I wasn't even registered anymore and now they send this through the mail? The check is for $2,150 to go buy some gift cards ,take a picture of them and send it to them and keep $300.00 for me. Is this a scam?

It most certainly is a scam. Do NOT try to cash that check!

I am glad you checked here first.

This is a scam. Since you received it through the USPS, report it to the Postal Inspectors. Keep everything since the Postal Inspectors may want to collect the "evidence".

I gave a more complete response on your other thread.

Definitely a scam that did not come from us. Scammers use our name, and legit MSC names, to get people to fall for the scam. The contact person never actually works for us or the MSC.

Well, what do you think?
Thats what i'm trying find out. I made gift card purchase for 1800, compensation 300 and transportation 50 so letter states. Now they want me to spend my 300 to purchase some more gift cards. Said i would receive funds in mail today, have not received anything. Smells fishy. Has anyone else dealt with this?
This is more information than you shared on the other thread. This is a scam: Plain and simple. Go to the police. If you file a report and still have the gift cards, you might be able to work with the retailer to get your money back. If they have actually sent you a check, don't deposit it: It is fraudulent and will bounce - but the bank won't catch it for about two weeks....

No, I have never dealt with this. If I thought that $350 was a reasonable fee for buying gift cards, I'd be drunk.

What's the hourly rate there? Do you normally make that much per hour?
Thank you for sharing. I will be reporting this check & letter to the Postal Service & Police Department ! I had a feeling it was to good to be true ???? I guess these folks don't have anything else to do other then try to steal money from consumers

I got the same letter and check. after googling the site I realized it was a scam. I took everything to the post office and reported it. Did anyone call the number that came with the package.
OP, if you receive a check in the mail from ANY company that asks for you to cash it right away, it is more than likely a scam. KSS Pet and Lorri Kern aren't scammers.
