Shopping in Las Vegas 2019

Just wanted to shout out to all of those shopping in Las Vegas to see how the market is nowadays. I am thinking about moving out there this year. What are the MSC's out there and do they have a lot of work?

I think there is plenty of work if you are a good shopper with any sort of financial security and credit. Many of the Vegas shoppers are apparently not in a situation to take the higher-end shops that have a significant cash or credit outlay....
I shopped Vegas a few months ago, and am going back in May...there is plenty of work, be sure you have your work card in order. There is a thread telling you how to do it on the forum, look it up, lots of good info. there.

You'll need to get a PI license. Nevada requires mystery shoppers to get one. I would search the forum for more info.
anz,
What NV requires is that the shopper be employed by someone with a PI licence, NOT that the shopper have one. What the law requires of the shopper is called here a "work card," which is issued by the NV Public Licensing board after a through background check and fingerprints. For details, go to the NVPLB web site.

Truth!
Can anyone link to the threads on Nevada work cards? I searched "Nevada", "work card", and "Vegas." I haven't found anything.

Try searching for "Las Vegas."
Nevada PILB should work.

You need to have a NV. sponser, and a work card, not a license.

Folks, it is a Nevada work card that is through the NV PILB, not a PI license. If someone tells you that a shopper needs a PI license, then that is very bad information.
mysterytrina,
There has always been plenty of work in LV, and I noticed a big increase in work beginning about September of last year. I doubt that mystery shopping in LV would be worthwhile for a non-resident though.

The MSC's are the same ones that you know and love in other southwestern US areas, but who the MSC is does not matter. All that matters is which one(s) of the 5 NV companies you sign up with.
