Based on the standards I've set for myself to determine the best companies, yes, I have a good list. My standards aren't the same as everyone else's and the reasons for shopping aren't the same as everyone else's so the types of shops and the shopping companies I like best are not the same as everyone else's. Best luck finding your favorites. I found mine by signing up with almost all the companies on this list: [www.mysteryshopforum.com]
my favorite shops are fast foods but I have done other types. Guess I better just get busy applying
Hi, granny. If you are signed up with the "top 15" most discussed companies on the list referenced above, you'll find at least 4 that have what you're looking for -- and others with great shops, too.
I am finally getting job offers for other companys. Actually better jobs with better pay in some cases. I got a job offer today from Intouch Insight and it had a very large check that I was to cash the check and buy some cards loaded with $500 each. I feel like this is fraud and am not going to cash the check. The package came from Rick Walter. Does anyone know anything about this person or the company he says he is representing?
The company is real, but I would guess he is not an actual representative of InTouchInsight. Their shops are generally listed on ISecretShop and generally pay average at best. No real company will ever send you a large check and have you cash it.

NO NO NO!!!! Do not cash that check. If you cash the check and buy the $500 worth of cards and provide the numbers or bar codes to the company, they will immediately empty the cards and then the check will bounce. This is a classic scam. The scammers have been using the names of legitimate MSCs. Intouch Insight does not worth this way. Intouch Insight does not send a package with a check and instructions and they pay AFTER completion of a job by direct deposit. Did you previously register with Intouch Insight and provide your bank info?
I may have registered with them but did not write it down if I did. I have registered with a lot of companys lately and could have possibly failed to write it down. This is not the first time I have received something like this and I took it to the Police station locally.
Yes, taking it to the police station is the right move.

Congratulations on not falling for this scam.
grannysarms: I'm in the middle part of the state. I can tell you two things:

1. Stop hogging in on my opportunities! (haha jk)
2. I've had decent success with MaritzCX in terms of gas station audits...although I'm not 100% sure about how many they usually have in Western AR (I usually hit the Eastern part of the state around the middle/end of the month due to bonuses being attached). Fairly simple and pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

I've cleared about $10k in credit card debt within the last year, and I just got promoted at work, so my mystery shopping days are slowly winding down. Good luck out there; always nice to see someone else from here!
Thanks for the info. I will try to stay in my territory :-) Right now I am worried about getting to do the jobs I have scheduled because of the floods that the rains has caused. If you are a praying person Arkansas and Oklahoma could use lots of prayers. I will see about registering with Matrix after the weekend. We are having a family reunion this weekend so will be really busy .

You can also report that check fraud to the Federal Trade Commission. Those types of scams have been going on for at least a decade.
Granny, I do hope all the schedulers understand the problems the weather is causing.

Be safe. Do not risk life and limb for ANY shop!
Missed the weather at noon but think this county is going to be affected but probably in the lower areas. Thanks.
