I agree. I tried calling them many times the first week I started. I had so many questions and nobody answered. I even tried writing using the little mail box and posting my phone number. Nobody called me back. I finally found some emails and I wrote one person from training video because he had a email listed on his voice mail. He was not answering phone, not calling me back. I finally sent emails to like 5 people but I BCC'd and I got all types of replies. Then I kept emails so when I had a question I would email them all again. Then complained that nobody answered phone after that I got responses very fast.

However, you're right this company gets paid millions of dollars and they pay us chump change for tons of work. The GIG economy is where they basically used people who like working independently, without benefits, insurance, and fairness. I've already quit working there yesterday and I did maybe 10 jobs. I have a full time job as well and I thought that the shops would be fun and interesting. They don't even have a professional way to show payments.

They should read on pay section
Shopper name
Shoppers Address
Shoppers city/state
Shopper ID#
Shoppers social last 4
Shop Number
Shop Name
To be paid out on date (22nd)
Either: Submitted, Accepted, Approved-Completed
Direct Deposit confirmation or tracking number (That's what my real job does)
Include a receipt or something that shows you're being paid for:

This way workers will know when they will be paid but how they have it. It took two weeks for them to do ONE shop for me. I complained about that and finally they got the 4 I had submitted finished and I got a payment on 22nd of last week. I feel they retaliated against me because I wrote in and complained about their service, system, and lack of answering phone. They judge and critique people all day but the moment you want to ask about your money and how to read their info. Someone takes an attitude. I thought that too was a bit silly.

However, if a shop pays $25 plus $5 bonus that's only $30 and often they have rushes and it might pay $25 plus 15 bonus. It still takes time to finish the jobs.

The paperwork is too long. Gig economy is not for everyone. It seems like it works if you have a lot of time on your hands and you enjoy doing the work. You don't care about money and you like doing things for experience. However, the corporation gets paid a whole lot of money. I like taking vacations. I like to look good. I like to have nice things. Therefore, I like making extra money and I value my time and efforts. I think that those shops are worth $100- $150 each plus bonus because of amount of work is put into them: scanning material, recording, putting file in proper format, uploading, asking questions, driving, computers, and etc. Some people value time and efforts better. They don't even say "Thank you.", or "We appreciate your help." . They don't offer training or examples of how they want the work done but are quick to complain. That's how they get the fee reduced or not pay. Wealthy people can be very cheap and it can be entertaining to mess over those who don't stand up for their rights. There are people who can live great, eat the best, drive the best and feed rib eye's to their dogs while you starve. I've seen it and I know it happens. I want a piece of the pie and I value my time more than that. I guess working my full time job I didn't realize how much GIG economy takes advantage of people. In my opinion, this job does not pay very much and it's really time consuming.

I know a lot of people will judge us and say we didn't do forms right. Yes I did and I understand how to record I studied it in college and I worked on many projects where I had to record people secretly so My recordings were top notch and I have excellent equipment. I just think that people take advantage of poor people, people who want to make money. If you saw how much they charge corporations to do this work you might think nothing. But there are some who feel that they do a lot of the main work that is offered and they don't get respect, they can't answer phone, they are rude, they don't value workers, and they don't pay enough for the shopper's time. I'm not talking about them anymore. Moving on. I don't mind doing some quick and easy shops. Or maybe I just work extra hours at my job. I fill out reports there but it's easier.

Also I found it unfair that they don't remove our info from the system for companies that hoard potential renter's info in their system. They are wrong you cannot use faux names or nick names when you go there they ask for EVERYTHING they copy your name, address, email, phone number, and etc. I did set up a couple of emails but seriously I don't have time for that. They should simply remove our info once we've been determined we did the shops after the shop is complete have the people who paid for the shops to remove our info. They are unfair in that way.

In conclusion, they should pay every week by direct deposit. They take up so much time. It cost money to do the shops. I also noticed that once the 22nd hit so many of the shops were just GONE. Days before there were so many and I had the pick of the liter. Then as soon as the 22nd hit it was as if all the shops disappeared. That meant some shoppers were waiting on $$ money. It cost money to do the work. Especially if you're going to drive far away and do like 4 or more in one day. I bet some people have two people working on these that's why they don't care. They have a system. While most of us are trying to do it all ourselves. One week it rained here every single day and I still had to complete the shops to meet deadlines. They didn't care and they also claim that's how people can figure you out to be a shopper if you go out to the shop in rain. But they didn't grant me an extension.

As long as there are people who will do the job for dirt cheap they will continue as they are. They can't do the job without shoppers. but I'm sure they will continue on as they've been around for years. Good luck out there. That's my personal experience and I just wanted to share with you all.

It would be nice if they could remove our names. I've worked with several companies that their clients do that. I wonder if the percentage drop was because a couple of sections had to be finalized again.

Wow. Well that's great that both parties came to a conclusion that it would be best to remove shopper's info. In my opinion that's the BEST way.

As far a percentage goes the editor wanted me to redo a section. So she marked incomplete portion which caused my percentage to go down and they marked incomplete after 4.5 weeks.

No worries. It's fixed.
I would consider yourself LUCKY if you don't hear from them. BUT like you I would RATHER hear from them in a positive light to know that the thing was finished and over with.
