I did a shop Thursday afternoon. Is it normal for it to still to be pending? Thank you!

Yes. I also did a shop yesterday and it is still not approved. The shop probably won't be approved until Monday since MF tends not to approve shops over the weekend except for last minute ones.

I did two gas stations yesterday afternoon. One shows as approved but the other is still in QC. The time on the receipt for the second one was incorrect but I noted this in the comments. Go figure.

The second one was approved today so it took two days.

MF takes a few days usually.

It varies widely. I've noticed their home improvement client's shops and some of their fast food shops are instantly approved.

I've noticed recently their big fast food clients will get instantly approved if the report doesnt have any "No"s or major issues (i.e. all positive answers)

I guess someone was/is working today. My Thursday shop was approved this morning.

I have had shops take up to 3 days to be approved

I've also noticed that around pay day, they tend to be slow on approving shops.
