Ipsos Contactless

The guidelines for this shop state 1 photo of the checkout terminal, yet I've had two surveys returned asking for 3+ and/or a video of the checkout process. How are we supposed to make a video of the checkout process using the phone that we're supposed to be using as the contactless payment method?

Kind of seems counter-intuitive...

Any ideas/suggestions to help the editor(s) see this error in their ways would be helpful.

Use a different phone? Use a concealed video camera?

That said, many editors impose demands which are not in the guidelines. When this is done, push back. If the editor doesn't budge, ask that the matter be transferred to a senior editor.
If remember the instructions, they wanted us to take photos then quickly switch to video and record up to the last second when you switch to your payment method. I took one look at the instructions and decided there was no way I could keep track of all that. I have a horrific cold and am barely following instructions for jobs I do regularly. I wrote the MSC and canceled.
Thanks for the updates, I went ahead and canceled my outstanding shops. Looks like another case where the writers of these shops don't actually do them themselves...
I just read the guidelines again. You can take 4 photos. It’s an incredibly easy shop.
I have done these in the past few months and they were indeed just 4 photos. the overview still says 4 photos, but inside the detailed instructions, it says 4 photos plus either 1) 3 more photos or 2) a video. I am doing one on Thursday. I will be taking a few more photos, but no video. I don't even know how to take a video on my Samsung S-9 without recording sound, and in a 2-party consent state (Pennsylvania is a 2-party consent state and Delaware has muddled laws and the best advice is to consider that it is also) that would be illegal.

Oh Jesus. Good to know.
I think that mine is going to be rejected. They can feel free. I am not going back to re-do it. I gave them 10 photos. That should have covered it.
Anybody taking these since May? They're paying $12 now. It's so stupid that they expect you to take that many pictures right in front of the cashier without revealing yourself. Seems completely unrealistic.
I have no issue telling the cashier why I'm there so it doesn't look suspicious.

I just signed up for one today. I'm doing one as a dry run. If it's successful, I'll do a bunch more.

I don’t understand why this has to be completely I revealed. It’s not like the cashier is going to be like “oh, let me fix this CC terminal before I complete this transaction.”
It’s either going to work or not work, right?

I use a video app that runs in the background and keep the phone pointed at the terminal, which is totally normal for using the phone to pay. Then just grab screenshots of the various screens. Works great and I can finish the report in about 5 minutes.
Don't try to apply logic. It is unrevealed because they say it should be. Logic? Who needs logic?

I did the shop today. The shop itself was simple. I got pics of the terminal. The actual report did not offer spaces to upload additional photos.

I did one today but I can't submit the report on the app or laptop. The amount line would not accept whatever I typed! It's a simple x.xx field but there's a glitch and no one responded to my email. I tried different browsers.

cubbie, did you spend over the reimbursement? I spent under $4 and had no issues.

@curtzey I'm curious: did you have any trouble uploading the video to the report? I did a bunch of these (I think they were submitted through the shopmetrics platform) and was unable to upload the video as an attachment. After no response from Ipsos, I ended up taking screenshots from the videos to use as pics.
