I had trouble with HS in Nevada. The bar charges were included in my dinner bill even after I paid the bartender. It was clearly the bartender's fault. I was instructed to pay cash at the bar, so the money could have been pocketed by the bartender as well. That was one of the reasons for shopping the bar integrity. Yet this scheduler claimed I had problems with my shop, so she cannot assign me any more fine dining until I complete 4-6 retail ones. It is ridiculous. If the bill was presented wrong, how was that my fault? Or if the change was wrong, how was that my fault as a shopper?
Irene,
It may be the case that they onlly need a set number of those done per period but post all options. Once they have enough scheduled for that period, the others may sit on the board until some tome elapses. I am speculating here, but this is the case with some clients/MSCs.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
The oil changes are on the board, the one I have always done in my town was taken, so I applied over a week ago for one further out, a hard to schedule one, and it is still sitting there, they moved the month from May to June. it is also listed with KSS and I can't get that one either. Had I done something wrong, I would appreciate being told, my feeling is age, after working for them here and in Vegas for many years, talk to me, don't disregard, a bit upset...I can understand age if you tell me.

I doubt it has anything to do with age! I do their shops all the time. And, I am absolutely antique.

What amazes me is anyone willing to wait up to 90 days for payment - Especially if you are "antique"! LOL
The last oil change shop I did for them took 87 days to pay. Taking up to 6 weeks to pay is timely - anything over that is ridiculous and I refuse to do the shops.

I worked for them in my 70's, I don't know what the story is....no one does.

Waiting 90 days for an oil change payment/reimbursement beats paying for one out of pocket, which is the alternative of not doing one...that or ruin your engine for not getting an oil change!

JASFLAMLT - there are other MSC that do oil changes who pay in a more timely manner
Yes, I know, but it's a regional thing. HS Brands doesn't even offer them in my area (at least not in the last decade). I am signed up with close to 120 companies so I think if there were other MSCs in my area offering them I would know about it (there are two that do). And, if it's a location close to my house (think 2 miles), I would rather go ahead and do it and I don't mind waiting for my money. But then again, I have been doing this for about 18 years now and I have a pretty good income stream, so waiting for $$ is no big deal.

Bob's comment--I totally agree. From my entrance into this business in 2003 until last year, I NEVER purchased an oil change AND was always paid from $5 to $25 as a fee. Unfortunately, Midas discontinued their program in my area; I am back to a $5 fee with the quick changer. The only plus is the considerably shorter service time; down from 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. to no more than 30 minutes. In addition, for servicemen and veterans, the current client provides a 25% discount; hence, a smaller outlay of cash.

On a completely different subject, this past Memorial Day, Logan's Roadhouse treated current and prior military to a free lunch; I was told by the manager, they will repeat for Independence Day. Thank you Logan's.
Thank you for your service, Bob.

As far as the Midas program goes, I still have the oil change club folders (MANY of them) and have taken them in to exchange for an oil change when needed. I had about 25 of them with one stamp each, LOL! Since I don't put a lot of miles on my vehicle (driving a 2013 car with 45k miles) I can go a lot longer before getting another one.
Midas stopped here to, so the only one I have seen for ages is HSBrands, and the one close to me (which I've done for years) has a great car wash worth 16.99 which is included, so I don't are about the fee. , nor the wait for return on my money, better than not getting it. I think we now have so many shoppers, they just bloody replaced me, but the one further away without the wash is still on the board, what's up, I'll do it already.

Does it? Got a coupon this week for a $14.99 oil change at my local place. It's a little extra for synthetic. No report. Drop the car off and go shopping. No interest on the credit card. Taking that long to pay is simply ridiculous.

"Let me offer you my definition of social justice: I keep what I earn and you keep what you earn. Do you disagree? Well then tell me how much of what I earn belongs to you - and why?” ~Walter Williams
I never pay interest on credit cards, haven't done that since I was in my 20s. I really have never been one to worry much about 60--90 days for any sort of payment as long as I know I will eventually be paid. Since it only takes 35 minutes at the place I go for the oil change shops (5 minutes from my house), it doesn't make sense to drop off the car. I can text family and friends on my phone and check email while I am waiting for my car. The report is so easy it only takes 15-20 minutes to submit. I have done it so many times I don't have to think much about it. So yeah, it beats paying out of pocket. For me.
I did a shop for them the first week of April. Not getting paid until July absolutely sucks.
Well, I had to "bite the bullet" and get my oil change on my own dime, we get a 10.00 off coupon and a car wash (16.99).....hsbrands used to be so receptive, changes are a changing......but no report helps.

It's good to be conscientious about the health of your car. Keep that motor running...
