Northfork transitioning to Bzzagent...your thoughts?

Part of an email message from Northfork:
"We are happy to announce that as of July 1, 2019, BzzAgent by PowerReviews will be supporting your mystery shopping experience. BzzAgent is an international community of everyday people who voluntarily share their opinions and experiences on a variety of products and services for leading brands and retailers around the world simply to help others make more informed purchases. We are excited to now be a part of PowerReviews allowing for more opportunities for growth and development of our mystery shopping product. "
The email goes on to detail changes in their branding and sassie platform, including the requirement to sign a new shopper agreement to continue with them.
From a quick Google search, BzzAgent looks like a company that sends "volunteers" free products in exchange for social media reviews. Your thoughts? Is anyone familiar with BzzAgents?

Could you possibly be talking about Northfork?

I did BzzAgent about 12 years ago, when they were actually good. They are a company that specializes in "word of mouth marketing." They basically send you produce to try and have you talk about it with people (creating the "bzz"

. They went through several iterations of campaign styles but their campaigns are just not as good as they used to be and their scoring system/reward system sucks.

I only do a few shops for Northfork Research, so we will see how BzzAgent handles them. Bzzagent is cheap, so I'm expecting them to lower payments and not offer big bonuses.

They've changed their name so many times. I have to keep the old names in my bookmarks so I remember what company it is. ICCDS, NorthFork, now Bzz..maybe there were others

My prior experience with Bzzagent has been mostly positive. They have been responsive, reasonable to work with, and pay for their projects in a timely manner...but the compensation has been on the low end.

I used to love Bzzagent and was an active participant for years. I haven't really heard much from them in the past few years, though. I'm assuming if they're going with this type of thing, it will be more like the Buy & Try "shops" on Field Agent where you get reimbursed for a product and they pay you like $3.00.

This appeared later in the email:
"What will remain the same?
-All of your shopper information on Sassie will remain the same, and management will remain the same.
-We will continue to offer mystery shops, audits and intercepts via the new BzzAgent Sassie platform."
And my interpretation is that that is a change of ownership or management, not a change in the type of shops, but time will tell. There are only 9 days until July 1st.

I used to bzz products for bzz agent, but I stopped doing it when they wanted me to bzz both the products and them for no additional incentive. I think it is odd that Northfork has come under bzz agent since bzz agent has never been known as a mystery shopping company. Well, we'll see how it goes.
