Marketforce payment

Late fees vary from state to state. For instance, in California "a late fee will be enforced only if the fee is a reasonable estimate of the amount that the lateness of the payment will cost the landlord." Unless you're renting a palatial estate they would not lose out on $50 a day in interest. Definitely check the laws in your state.

For now, though, it's just speculation after speculation in this thread as well as the others.
Yeah, and I think one of the biggest reasons for this is that MF has NOT been open with us shoppers about what has been going on the past several months. If they would only let us know something...if it's an internal personnel problem, a software problem, or whatever. They don't have to give us specifics, but just something like what I just mentioned here. Then we wouldn't all be wondering what in the heck has happened over in their accounting dept the past few months!

Also, I bet they're going to have a boatload of shops with hefty bonuses since we're rounding the end of the month and the rotation for several of their clients. I did get a call today (they actually left a message after the 3rd time) but I couldn't understand what shop she said. I also got a dozen "Sam" emails when I got home, so if you can afford to see what happens or schedule at the end of the available dates, this might be a great money making time with MF.

I don't know if I feel they haven't been upfrot about the reason - or are they still investigating and truly don't know what caused the issue. Also not sure which is worse.

Hoping the payments come through, especially for those who rely on it to make ends meet.
Also a good reminder to me to branch out and not put all my eggs in one (french fry) basket.
This forum is really helpful to me! I have the same scenario as many others who have posted...was paid $56 for three shops completed in early June, but nothing for the approximately $400 owed for May. I have no idea what's happening, but it helps to know that others are pushing to get the situation resolved. I agree with those who are not accepting new shops, but am not yet ready to cancel any shops. If I agree to do a shop, I will. If they break their side of the agreement, I just won't accept any more shops for them. I've shopped for MF for many years...back when it was shop n check/Sights on Service, etc. This is the first time payment has been an issue, so I'm not ready to give up on them.
What a mess.
Any number of things could be happening at MarketForce. I suspect that it will be cleared up, but I certainly cannot blame anybody for cancelling shops or refusing to take more until it is resolved. I'd be tempted to do the same.

I went through all my May shop receipts twice today and calculated exactly what they owe me so I can double check it when they do pay. I’ve always had confidence they are correct but I’m not counting on it this month with all the issues. I’m also not taking on anymore of their shops until I’m paid for my May shops.
Well, no direct deposit for May or June in bank account, no payment for either month showing in payment history on website. Sure hope the latest update wasn't just another, 'string you along' message. Maybe tomorrow or the 28th as a scheduler told me last week.

I got a direct deposit of $12. for a shop on June 2, but nothing from May. Has anyone got any May shops paid?
I didn’t receive any payment today either. I just have the $13 payment for 1 shop completed 6/3 from a couple days ago. Hopefully some people do receive their payment for May shops today.
This message about may payments was on my MF home page last night "NEW UPDATE - Shopper Payments
June 25, 2019 May Shop Fees & Reimbursements

You will begin seeing Direct Deposits for the May shop fees and reimbursements in your accounts starting Wednesday, June 26, and continuing Thursday, June 27, depending on your bank processing times.

Thank you for your patience while we worked through this matter. We do apologize for the delay."

I got paid on 6/24 for 3 shops that were performed on 6 /4 and 6/5 and the money was actually deposited to my account. Nothing yet for May shops.
Same thing, I was paid for three June shops, all three were in my Payment History as a 6/24 distribution which posted over night. Nothing for my May shops yet.

I was thinking about rescheduling the shops I have coming up through Sunday, but now I just cancelled them all. Don't believe any more money is coming at all. And I have nothing left in my checkbook to finance those shops. Its like a trickle-down effect.
Probably will be an shopper update message that gets posted today that reads something like this:

Direct deposits were suppose to have started being deposited today. Unfortunately as you know, that didn't happen. Our management team is investigating why the deposits didn't happen. We will keep you updated and provide a date as soon as provided by management. We appreciate your patience.

Something to keep stringing the shoppers along. No trust in what they say anymore.
I just received a call from one of my favorite schedulers. "Could I please go to a location 175 miles R/T for $50?" Umm, no...that distance requires 3 times that amount. I then said if the shoppers knew what the issue is all about, maybe we'd be more comfortable accepting shops today. Her answer did not comfort me. "A new payroll person" was her comment.

Oh my.. yeah that isn’t comforting at all. Thanks for sharing! I hope if anyone does get paid today they will come to this thread and let us know.. but I also can see getting another update on their site that they are still delayed and working on it.
We are not payroll. Not directed at you, Lissy, but I see many references to payroll in this thread.

We are "Accounts Payable" -- vendors.
Late fees also can vary widely depending on how much your rent is. When my daughter and her hubby were paying $1400 a month in Salt Lake City for their apartment, if they were ONE day late, the late fee was $250.

I do not know if it went up that amount daily, but I had the impression that it was a one-time thing, just the flat $250.

It's Wednesday, NOTHING in my account. No changes on the MF site or my bank account. Has anyone gotten paid?
No pay here, but there is a change on my account. Some -- not all -- of my May shops have been "swept", which normally means they are processing payment.

They did that to my account 2 days ago, still no payment.
I just can no longer do shops without getting paid, to do more shops. I NEED that money to continue on. Mystery shoppers are the LEAST able to take a hit like this. We're not rich. That's why we do mystery shopping....
Sorry. Duplicate post. My computer got stuck.
