Is there a dispute resolution process for Maritz?

I recently completed a shop that Maritz called to offer me. There were issues from the start - I really wish I'd followed my first mind and declined to take it.

But I did not. I did what I needed to do to complete the shop as agreed, mainly because I'd had a good relationship with this company in the past. But they have just informed me I am not going to be paid for this shop. No warning/ no satisfactory explanation.

I did receive a request for clarification for this shop. Which I completed promptly. But I am being told they did not receive the response, so the job was pulled. End of story.

Does anyone know of an appeals process for Maritz Mystery Shops? Now that this has happened, I realize how much all the power is in their hands. I know I submitted the requested corrections. They say I did not. I have nothing to prove what I know to be true.

The shop included reimbursement for a restocking fee, so not only am I not being paid for my time and effort, I'm actually losing money on this deal.

I would very much appreciate it if anyone knows how to appeal this decision. And for other shoppers, please take this into account when you submit reports. I don't remember being given an option to print proof of submission, but I wish I'd at least have made a screenshot showing the date/time that the system said there were no further shops on hold.

I think I know which type of shop you’re talking about. Call them and ask to speak with whoever is in charge of that project. That’s really all you can do at this point. Hope it works out for you.
You need to do two things. First in the Help box, click on contact us and see if the shop ID is there, if it is send email threw here and state what went on, I have found that they keep logs on everything. I have had that team leader call me in the next day to discuss the problem. If it is not listed send a general email with the Shop ID, date you filed the shop, and invoice number that you filed on the shop to get paid. Again they will call. If you do not here from anyone with in three days then call with shop ID number, invoice number, and the date it was filed. They will research the problem and will call you back. I have had problems with the editors before. The only person that can help you is the Team Leader, and I have found to be fair, they WII tell you why. I had a shop of $ 100 dropped because I got the wrong address. I have been banned from one bank because I was spotted as a mystery shopper, and banned from one team because of an argument with a team leader for saying that they where too cheap on a shop.

Thank you both for responding to my question.

I wanted to report back because Maritz has addressed the issue to y satisfaction. I did pretty much what bmttinman suggested. The Team Leader contacted me, and she was very professional. After hearing me out, she said the company does have the option of paying a shopper when there is a dispute, but it may result in your being kicked off that project. The project, not the entire service. And I am fine with that.

FWIW, I'm happy to have this resolved. Not only because I wanted my money but because I actually like Maritz and I didn't want to stop working for them.

NO win for them. I have been battling a closed gas station for years. It is the point of the matter I am still going after my $10. Every time they call and beg I remind them pay the $10 and they beg for me to shop anyway. Nope.
