Informa student loan shops

I am set to do one of these tomorrow and will be using my and my daughter's social security numbers to see the steps involved. Naturally I am a bit spooked by this but I know Informa is a legit company. I also understand that I will take a credit hit. Anybody else do these shops? Thank you.

Haven't done these, but I would if any of my kids qualified for this (all are older and no student loans). As long as you are not worried about a credit hit...go for it! I have done other stuff for Informa and they are a great company.
I have done tons of their shops, some with credit hits. My score is undamaged. End of story. They are among my top 3 favorite MSCs and I work for about 40 a year and well over 100 MSCs since 2005.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Thank you all for your input. My daughter who lives with me is older but she happens to be back in school right now and needs loans etc. The email I got does not specify ages of children so I might check this shop out and see. Does the child need to be under 18? or some other age? anyone know.
I received an email from Jessica.nam@informa.com wanting me to co-sign a student loan for son, daughter, niece, ect. This shop pays $300 but you must submit a W-9 when you sign up to be eligible for payment. A closer look at the email showed it being sent on behalf of Informa Financial Intelligence NOT the MSC Informa Research Services. If your shop offer is the same as the one I received I suggest contacting the MSC to verify it is legit.
Does anyone know how to contact this company. I registered with Informa as asked but there are no shops in my log or available. I am to receive a phone call on Wednesday and may or may not be asked for financial information. I cannot find any contact info on the Informa site. Under help it goes to not a help site but tells me to contact the scheduler. As she will tell me it is legit that is not what I want. The top of the page says Informa Financial Intelligence. I did go thru the Informa site I thought to sign up for the company so I am not sure if this is the same company or another and might be a scam.
If anyone knows how to call Informa let me know or if they know these are the same company is there someone there named Jessica.
Hi SandyF,

This is Briana with Informa Financial Intelligence, formerly Informa Research Services. We just had a nice chat and I wanted to reassure you that Jessica Nam is an employee and we used to be Informa Research Services. You can always reach out to me by calling my direct line at 818-871-2230. I'm in the office from 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday. I like East Coast hours because it helps me beat traffic to and from Oxnard. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!

Hi sandyf and Jasflalmt,

You can actually use your children of any age over 18. Sometimes adults go back to school and need assistance with tuition so there's no age limit. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. Jessica is our Senior Field Director running the project and her direct line is 818-871-8477 and her email is Jessica.nam@informa.com.

Quite wonderful conversation with Brianna today and I will be doing this job on Wednesday. For those of you on the fence about this my daughter is 33 and is back in school. If you are interested in doing it you might want to inquire as to whether your adult child needs to be actually enrolled in school right now. I do not mind a hit to my credit as I am not planning any large purchases...houses, cars etc anytime in the near or medium future.
I applied for one of their personal loan shops by sending a screen print of my credit score back to the sender of the original e-mail announcing the available shop.

I never heard anything until Monday the 22nd. The e-mail asked if I had completed the four (4) shops that were due on the 21st. Four mystery shops showed up in my queue on the Informa website.

I got no e-mail notification that these shops had indeed been assigned to me. Apparently the scheduler doesn't understand the availability of rescheduling a due date for a shopper.

My due date of the 21st was never changed. However, I was removed from the shops and Judy scheduled it with a new shopper with a new due date.Go figure.

Oh, and BTW, I would only get paid if I was accepted for a loan. If I would be refused the loan, I would have gotten paid nothing.

Here's a copy of my e-mail chain with "Judy" my scheduler:

Subject: Status of your Informa online lending reports?

Hi XXXXXX,

You were scheduled for four $30 online lending inquiries for Informa to be completed by July 21st. I do not see your reports submitted yet on the Informa Sassie site [www.sassieshop.com].

Please reply and let me know the status of your assignments.

Judy

When was I notified these were assigned to me? I can't find any e-mails where I was assigned these four shops. I can do them but this is the first I've heard they were assigned to me.

XXXXXXX,

Did you complete the Informa online loan shops? I don’t see your reports submitted. Were you declined? You need to let me know, so I can remove them, if so.

Let me know ASAP.

Judy

Judy,

I sent a request to have them rescheduled on Monday and they have yet to be rescheduled. If you will reschedule them I will be happy to complete them.

I haven't done them because with the due date in the past I don't know if I will get paid for them. I can do them today if you will change the due to tomorrow.
I have done a few shops for them and they were fairly easy. The last one I did they failed to mention that you would not get paid if you were not approved. I was not happy when I found that out after doing several shops. But they give you fake information to supply with your name and social. I won't work with them again.
Hi wrosie,
I'm so sorry you had that experience. Schedulers are not able to adjust dates on the Sassie platform so if you complete a shop past the due date you will still be paid. If you ever encounter a problem with a scheduler please email us at shoppers@informars.com and/or call our shopper hotline at 818-880-0236.

Hi cindycribbs,

Please PM me or email me at bgoldman@informars.com and let em know which project this was for. We have always had a smaller payment for a shoppers time and effort should they not be approved for a study. I am wondering if you had an outside scheduler or a new scheduler because that is very wrong! I will get to the bottom of this and ensure you are paid for your time and effort.
