I received a job offer from National Shopping Service this morning. I thought the company had gone out of business. Anyone have any information?

There is also another company with a similar name, NSSN, National Shopping Service Network. Maybe it was them?

NSS's owner committed suicide and the business is gone for good. NSSN is still alive and well. And, there are plenty of scammers out there who are ready to use a MSC's name to try to take your hard-earned pay, as Honny suggested.
