SQM airmiles? How much and what happened with the Rewards system?

I do their discount shops and normal shops (non purchase) and today my points were GONE. I emailed asap asking WTF just when I was close to cashing out LOL

Now they have "airmiles" replacing the points system. A little notice would be nice, anyone have more information about this? I mean airmiles is good but I would still have preferred a Walmart Giftcard/Esso giftcard or whatever since I can use that asap.

Any info would be nice smiling smiley

Thanks

I somehow feel it would be take a very long time to get a flight with these points which is discouraging. I hope I hear back as I really like their shops (as hard as some of them are) and I don't know if I care for the airmiles points incentive.

I didnt even know they had a points program. Checked and I have points and theyre still there. Maybe yours missing is a glitch?
If you mean that the airline rewards program is stated in terms of air miles, that would be because the main airline client bases the point on the air miles flown. BUT they (the client) also have tiers, because of the 3-4 different fare levels offered on that carrier, as I recall.

Good to see something about SQM. I am signed up with them but their site seems to sketchy and I kind of don’t understand the appeal of their shops - are they discounted flights or full price? How in depth are the reports and what’s the point? Sorry if I seem clueless but I’ve been wary about contacting their scheduler though I travel a great deal. Any assurances would be appreciated.
I have not done flights for them but have done some high end meals at hotel restaurants and will do an overnight stay at a super hotel in September. Fair pay for the work that I have done so far.

Shopper friends of mine hardly ever fly without doing their flight shops and are very happy with the work/rewards ratio.

SQM is legit just a very dated look to the site and they require things that are left in most mystery shopping dark ages: they need you to still mail physical receipts for certain retail shops and make you do an invoice every month that you work (god forbid you forget that is a 2 month delay in payment). However they pay decently and i like their food shops and clothing shop discounts. The are good but impersonal and the points system I was using to get extra gift cards that is why i asked. I still have very little info and i am awaiting a response from their support.

I do want to do a flight shop eventually but since the points system has changed I am not sure what to think

Wrong. We have to invoice. I was just told that I had to, or no pay. But, the site prepares the invoice. I just went to that area on the site, saw that the invoice was correct, clicked on "submit," and was paid on time.

Wales, I'm sure you know SQM offers two different platforms. SQM - EvaluateIT and the regular SQM. SQM - EvaluateIT American shoppers do not have to invoice.
The flight shops are relatively straightforward. I find it to be a good deal. 50% off the flight for somewhere I am going anyway. Others dont see it as a good value because you dont get the points for the US airline that you normally would accumulate if you were flying not on a shop.
The flights are only worth it if it's a direct flight and you don't check your luggage imo. Otherwise the reports are long. They are a great company to work for just not the friendliest.
Ps this is resolved, they never responded but my points were back. Support is only fair...they are definitely impersonal but good company.

Their flights are worth it, even if you need to make a connection and check baggage, if it is a location you are going to anyway on one of the airline's discounted fares. So a normally $500 round trip fare goes down to about $300 with the airline's sale, and with SQM's 50% discount, it goes down to $150, round trip.

That's like a $150 fee to go somewhere you're traveling to anyway. No frequent flyer miles, no, but if you don't fly too often, or aren't accumulating points on the airline's credit card (or some other system), it won't matter. You can always use whatever frequent flyer/buyer credit card to pay for the flight through SQM and earn points that way.

Also, their bus shops refund the full fare, so they're a great deal, too, especially if the trip is to a popular location where it's hard to find a reasonable bus fare. Again, like a $15 (SQM minimum refund) to $50 (SQM maximum refund) fee each direction ($30 to $100 total for round trip) to go somewhere you were planning to go anyway.
Can someone explain the points reward system. I have never flown with them but I am signed up. I was under the impression there were no rewards points but felt a 50% reduction in fare was worth far more than the rewards points I would earn flying and paying for it. Just have not been flying for a while. So those who have rewards points from them, how do you accumulate them? Is there some where on the website that explains it?
did SQM pay today or tomorrow? I sent the invoice before the 5th just wondering if anyone got paid.
I got a confirming email overnight. Have not checked my bank yet.
