Anyone heard of this "Team"?

Informa Team: informascheduler@gmail.com

I just got an email from them about a couple shops. The pay seems too good to be true, so it probably is?

I think the content would be important than the email address.

If they offer to send you a $1,000 cashier's check, it's a scam. If it's $25-50 to go to your bank and ask a lot of questions, it's probably Informa. Possibly more if you speak a foreign language.
Yes, that's all true, and Informa does offer nice shop fees. But I get lots of correspondence from them, and never once has it come from a gmail account.
They once gave me $100 to ask a single question about my business account at my bank. That almost seemed too good to be true...but agreed. Never came from gmail.
Steve, have you ever had anyone from Informa refer to a "team" within their company? Usually I am contacted by individuals with no mention of a "team" in the emails.
I just recently signed up with them after the email invitation from one of their team schedulers. All the email addresses are company email accounts. I have not seen one from gmail. Use the email address Jasflamt supplied above to sign up. The job I did paid several hundred dollars, required a high credit score and I received payment in three weeks. Just be aware that the highest paying shops seem to include a credit hit. My score went down 20 points but for me that is not an issue. They do have jobs that do not require that. I have been receiving emails regularly about other jobs.

When I searched my email for them + the word "Team" there were some emails that made reference to a team...but they always came from the @informars address
Call Informa and ask to be transferred to the mystery shopping support aarea.

It is a very large company with a very small MS division.

Their pay is quite good for MS but they want top shoppers with experience only. If you are a new shopper, be skeptical.

NO, they DO NOT pay hundreds of dollars, or more for 1 or 2 shops. They DO NOT pay in advance. Right now they are looking for shoppers with a college age kid to do an actual loan application, with hard credit hits to BOTH parties. That would be over $200 per person for the parent/student team. But that is a very rare occurrence.

Hi ChitChat57,

Informa does use outside schedulers and we also happen to have two temps currently working at Informa in the Mystery Shop department. The email was sent by one of our outside schedulers. You may also receive emails from nicole.informa@gmail.com and charlie.informa@gmail.com as we have an in house scheduler on Maternity leave. Only actual employees have Informa email addresses. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

In such cases, nust go to the MSC's board and see if the shop is listed. If not, pick up the phone. Of course, when good shops are real, it they are taken up quickly.

Definitely call to confirm that email address is legitimate or a scam. However, I've done several no out-of-pocket online shops for Informa that have paid anywhere from $30 to $300.
