Marketforce invalidating two shops becasue one shop had the wrong picture.

They can be tempermental and unyielding. I was accused of including pics from job 2 into job 1 and vice versa. I believe neither occurred. After several detailed emails they relented to paying for job 1 but only after I proved that the report for job 1 was submitted before any job 2 pics were taken. Another time they claimed 18 gas station pics were included from job 1 into job 2. Not possible. They were totally different styles of stations with different colors. No proof no payment on the shop with the suppossed extra 18 different photos, that also included about 25 from the right station.

I now take only the minimum photos, sumbit the last shop first, and delete the photos from the phone as each job is submitted. The original photos are kept in the cloud until paid. So far its been working for me the last 10 months.

This is why I will no longer take shops requiring more then 2 pictures. I give them the minimum requirements for any shops.
MF is tough on mistakes. I now double and triple check. I once switched receipt pictures and uploaded he wrong receipt with the wrong job on two I submitted. They would not let me correct it and did not pay either shop. Lesson learned.
I don't find MF tough or strict at all. I only do bonused shops as the rest are not worth it to me. I have made a few small mistakes that I have been able to correct with no difficulty or any trouble from MF. I do the bare minimum for all these shops because the pay is low and this is only a side hustle for me, not my main income. I suppose if this was your only income, you need to be meticulous. I see no reason to be. These shops are all incredibly easy. I don't stress over them at all. Maybe since I'm in a small market area and they have fewer shoppers around here they are easier on me? I don't know.
I had a shopping company-- not Market Force, recently play that game with me. I made a mistake and they immediately let me know they wouldn't pay me. I did an AMAZING job, and provided oodles of amazing context and details. I was not buying that they could not use my shop. I called them and said that I did a great job on the report and that I just did not believe that the client rejected the shop. I asked them for documentation that the client rejected the shop. The said they couldn't give that to me, and that I could see the shop was rejected because it was no longer on my "submitted jobs" list. That means nothing! That means some schmuck edited my visibility to that job or deleted it. It could be for any of 10 billion reasons. I then said that I would call the client and ask them if they rejected my shop or not. They quickly agreed to pay me. Scammers. I was just not in the mood to be ripped off and lied to. I was so pissed, and they things they were saying were such clear lies, that I don't doubt for one second they don't believe their shoppers, since they probably assume the shoppers are as dishonest as they are.

I recently discovered that I've been locked out of their system. It took me a year to realize I wasn't getting offers from them. They still won't tell me why.

There are, to me, two morals to this situation. One, that MF, who fired me nine years ago, is a stickler; be extra careful should you decide to accept their jobs.

Could it also be a regional contact/editor type of thing?

It's been the opposite with me. I've made so many mistakes with Market Force that I can no longer keep count. I've had to write them so many times and apologize for screwing up this or that or not remembering this or that with a shop, etc. and I've never once had a shop rejected from MFI (albeit, they were not major screw-ups).

On the other hand, I've had a casual dining shop rejected and been given a 0 rating from See Level HX for not having a copy of the itemized receipt (the server did not give me one and I forgot to ask), but instead had the signature copy. sad smiley

Maybe the specific supervisor or editor matters and not so much MFI? The ladies who re: my Help Desk questions are saints! Always extremely polite, thorough, and helpful (as in they go out of their way to answer thoroughly and always invite me to contact them if I have any concerns).

On the other hand, I've had some schedulers (different MSC) not even get back to me on important questions. They literally do not answer (again, on things that are crucial). I'm scared of one! She gives super curt responses usually and sometimes doesn't answer at all.

I'm in a pretty big area, MrsChaney, and can see what my competition picks up on Prophet systems and by logical deduction. Competition can be fierce at times. MFI has still been quite lenient with me.

Although, none of my errors were central to a project - usually something very small.

I personally tend to think it's more of a regional editor/supervisor thing and not MFI overall necessarily. Like you, they've been very fair with me when things were definitely my fault.

I would rather write a novel for HS than ever do another Marketforce full gas station audit. I would wait until they were bonused but almost always they were a PIA to report if there were more than a few pics. This was before they changed their reporting system and after that, it seemed to get more time-consuming. Oh well, they deactivated me about 3 years ago so I don't really have to worry.
I've done a few Market Force jobs where the reimbursement was high and for something we needed/wanted. Those jobs are no longer. :-( I've done exactly one burger shop where it was invalidated as idiot me performed it during the wrong time frame. I do not like Market Force. So many of you say they're easy but I would do a narrative report any day rather than an "easy" MF job.
Your time just hasn't come....but it always does. I am waiting to see the outcome of my last two shops, if I do not get paid I am removing myself. I have other MSC companies that are more reasonable.
I know how you feel. I have had gas station shops invalidated a couple of times for the same reason. I accidentally sent the wrong picture file, and the invalidated both shops. I am always irritated when I spend the time to do the work an it's invalidated. Fortunately, I have been able to get their decision reversed each time. I think the fact that I have done hundreds of shops for Market Force over the last couple of years, including about 100 gas station shops, had an impact on their decision to reverse the invalidation. But yes, they will invalidate shops in a heartbeat for sending the wrong picture. Like you though, I don't understand why they had to invalidate both gas station shops if the error was only with one.
