I will warn you on the HSBrands one....it's several metric tons of work. I did one once, and it may have been the most stressful shop I've ever done, and one of the biggest pains to.

Intellishop has some as well.

HSB pays better than Intellishop (no surprise there), but, yes, it is a "boatload" of work. Not worth it unless you actually like to gamble.

For the HS job I completed, you're only allowed to gamble $20 in 2 electronic machines plus $50 at the tables. You are required to report how much you won or lost net and you were not allowed to gamble any of your own money unless you left the casino and came back in after you completed the entire job.

And if you like to gamble you're not getting anything by doing the shop anyway, if you know what you're doing

You're gambling with someone else's money, so there's really not a risk to you. That's a plus. Even people who know what they're doing sometimes lose. You also get the hotel room and meals. The casino I do has excellent food, and I'm happy to eat on someone else's dime. So, worth it occasionally, when I have little else on the calendar. Not a huge money-maker, especially on a per hour basis.

I’m not sure why anyone would do a shop in which you have to give back your winnings when there are others out there that allow you to keep it all. Casinos rake in so much dough it’s pretty darn cheap of them to make u give it back.

I play minimum bet black jack and I don't pay for these things. I am in the Bahamas this week for a comped trip in fact.

Geeeeze, again?
Northwest Loss Prevention has casino shops. They allow a reasonable amount for a meal at the casino and for buy-in at the tables, and they allow you to keep the winnings from the gambling tables!

Yep. If it makes you feel better I don't have another planned until Atlantic City in January. I've never been there before so kind of excited.

Well, at least the property you'll be doing is pretty big. AC is cold in January, and not exactly busy for the most part. Hopefully there's a show or something the nights you're there.

As for giving back winnings, yeah, HSBrands doesn't really know why the client wants that either. Not that winning much at the tables is possible for the one I did anyway. 5 dollar chips and up, so playing roulette is...basically impossible.
Yeah. It was poor planning on my part. I'm actually going because there's something I need to do there in person that'll take all of 30 minutes. I thought it had to be done after Jan 1. I'm already pretty booked February through June and wanted to get it done before. Come to find out it could have been done after Oct 1. :/

Hate to burst your bubble, but my experience in Atlantic City is that it's a real downer after LV. Nobody is happy and they're all serious gamblers intending to make money rather than have a good time. YMMV. The boardwalk is nice, though Unfortunately it's cold and rainy in January. If you get tired of casino food, try Buddakan.

Yeah there's actually something I need to do there that'll take all of 15 minutes but is worth the trip there and back. Especially since the room and flight won't cost me anything.

Atlantic City is what you make it. The main drag in January might be a little depressing because of the weather, but there is tons of fun to be had there. If you are staying at one of the Marina properties, it's like a different world. I am in AC almost weekly all throughout the year and I never get tired of working and playing there.

Atlantic City isn't like it was once, which is good and bad, but it is a great city and getting better every day.

Shopping the South Jersey Shore
I’m in Philly and can drive over to AC anytime. What companies do casino shops in AC? Thanks.
Intellishop used to do a casino near me regularly, they let me keep my winnings. I loved that shop. It's been a few years since I have seen it on the board.

CHC will not allow you to keep winnings.
