Marketforce loss of clients

i have been working for Marketforce for several years, generally happy. After taking the first six months of this year off for personal reasons. Upon return, they have only a small fraction of the assignments they used to have. My total income this year so far is what i used to make in one pay period. I was told they lost"some"clients. Anybody know more about this?

MSC gain and lose clients all the time. Once the contract is over the jobs often go out to bid to other msc. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose the client, sometimes the client decides to end the mystery shop program. I have seen other msc go down to only one or two types of shops and then surge back eventually. Maybe someone else has knowledge of the inner workings of this msc.

I'm still seeing the same shops I've been seeing for years (except the major burger chain and the sticky sweet buns, which have both been gone for years).

I am talking about the theater division. For years i was pulling in up to $300 a week just doing movie theater assignments. Now i am lucky to make $20 a week...and when i do get a theater gig, i see that the same people from Verites are still working without any slumps. Did all the studios switch to Verites?

There is a thread several spots down that has what you want to know. Your hunch is correct that Certified lost clients.

The pay is the same for trailer checks and I’ve really only done a few standees and one flat card coming tonight. Pay for those seems better than when I quit Certified. I only do a couple theaters close to my residence now, so I’m not stretched out like I was before.

May I ask what company you are working with now? I am currently with Certified and many of the jobs in my area have gone. I noticed the theatres I worked out of with Certified have other people doing trailer checks every week, but I have no idea who they are working for. I did contact Verties, but have not heard back.

I did 10-30 shops a month for Market Force many years ago. Then they stopped showing shops available to me. They closed my account and refused to tell me why. After calling them twice they only would say that they cannot discuss it. I have always been at a complete loss as to what they were all about.

Movie Measure has picked up some of the checks and assemblies.

Movie Measure took almost all of the trailer checks. MM, Vision and Quality all do standees.

Whose Quality? veriTes is active with trailer checking, MM is doing quite a bit, I'm with both, and believe it or not Certified actually picked up Star Wars after not having any trailer checks all year long. Can someone tell me what trailer checks entail with Market Force. I have never done any of the theater shops because it is not clear to me what the requirements are. For example, can someone clarify if job is to do trailer checks, do you have to check them all day for a particular movie or what? Any help regarding job descriptions any Market Force theater assignments is appreciated. Thanks!

I completed my lone theater shop 10 years ago, which was two tickets, $15 toward the concessions and a $5 fee. Please share the advantages of trailer checks, as it appears to me the total time involved, not being able to watch the films and the fees do not seem to be rewarding.

Trailer checks are not created equal. A small theater with few auditoriums and few showings will give you a different work day than a mega-plex with lots of auditoriums and show times.

As for watching the movies, the value there is all wrapped up in one's own sensibilities...

That is completely up to you. It depends on which company you go with, how much time you have, how big your theatre is, how many screens the feature plays on. Different companies have different guidelines they go by. Some go by prints only, some go by number of auditoriums. Depending on where you live, the pay could be higher. So If you like sitting through trailers just to get an idea what films are coming up next, and have free time, and want to make a little extra money, then go for it. If that's not your thing, then you probably want to skip trailer checks.

Yes, I knew about the Gretel and Hansel ones, just unfortunately they were not available in my area. I wished they were. I wanted them. I do get the newsletters about when the standees come available through MM. I had an opportunity for Parasite through them, but the location had already installed it. Thanks for the info on Quality, I had not heard of them yet.
