I was talked into taking 4 of these at $40 each, 60 miles away. I figured it was worth the driving time and all the advanced payments I would make. I did all the shops, took all the pictures, and made a mistake on a report by uploading a switched picture. I told them I had ALL the pictures and could fix it. They ignored me and disqualified two of the shops. 120 miles and $12.00 spent and 7 hours working and reporting was of no consequence to them. I know other companies that would have worked with me to get all the shops paid, especially since I HAD all the correct pictures and had completed the shops. I was really perturbed by their inconsideration.

They did the same thing to me. I will NEVER do another full audit shop for them again.

Frequently with such a recalcitrant attitude the editor is somewhere not in the USA but in a third world country. Just as the most annoying editors are from the UK. They are used to deal with shoppers who get pittance for the same shop and write essays for $8.

well i’m hoping they’ll cut me some slack. somehow my gas receipt got misplaced, although I do still have my in store receipt. anyone ever been in that situation before?
I believe there is a place on the report for you to explain why you are not able to submit a receipt. Good luck. I frankly think your best way forward is to reschedule and reshop the assignment. You might be a little out of pocket (I hope not), but you won't have a black mark on your record.

I've been extremely lucky not to have been in that position, but only because, when I first started, another shopper posted that they always take a picture immediately after they finish the assignment. I actually take the receipt pictures just before I take the rest of the site pictures. So, I started doing that (helps to keep my different audits separate so I can tell which pictures go with which location as they start looking alike after a while), and it's been a lifesaver when the physical copy has slipped between my car seats.
One day I did three audits for them. I got an email that said I had submitted the same photos for all three. I emailed them and asked if they would open the shops back up so that I could look a the photos and see if I had accidentally used maybe one photo twice, but I knew I had not used the same photos over and over. They let me look at the photos for each report and they were all totally correct for the location shopped. I emailed them back and told them the photos were correct and they paid me for the shops. So, I guess you never know which way the wind will blow that day. That is the very frustrating part of being a shopper, in my opinion.

Indeed. I have done a few hundred gas station shops with MarketForce and there have been occasions when I have mistakenly sent the wrong picture and have had multiple shops declared invalid. However, I always contact the MF, and usually, but not always, I am allowed to fix it. I don't know why they sometimes don't allow you to fix a very correctable mistake. They are quick to disqualify two shops at a time! Oh, and I never have done the audits. They look like they take too much time and they want to much info and it creates more chances for a mistake. No audits for me. Neva.

They did not do that for me. Both of my full audit gas station shops were rejected because of a mistake on one shop. Another shop I did for them, one picture wasn't clear, They wanted me to go back an take ALL 20 pictures over again. The shop was 20 miles from my home. I refused to redo the whole shop for that one picture. It appears they have a person working for them, who rejects ANY shop for ANY mistake.[/quote

So you have made several mistakes with MF? I am surprised that they have not deactivated you.
